Hi all I have the possibility to buy the game from Ebay in europe a NEW game and was wondering if the game actually came with the usual 1 month free to play. I am saying that because it looks quite cheap to me so I rather ask now so I do not get surprise later. I heard the game was really bad at launch but it seems like things have changed , I want to find an MMO where It's fun to LvL dont mind grinding , with nice crafting system , and a nice comunity that does not mind having European playing with them. Is this game for me ? |

I have seen the Collectors Edition for as cheap as $10.00 and yes it does include the first month free. That is if its not an open box. . .make sure it says "factory sealed". |

From personal experiences id say DONT buy the game , me and my brother recenty baught the game to find that most of the games population is dead , and what little people do play are very high level and seem to like to come to the newb areas and gank lowbies.. Id like to say the game is very fun and very unlike most mmo's , you can even buy your mount at lvl 10 for a few gold.. but in my opinion id say dont buy it unless you want to play a game that has very few people to party with or play with , and may i say , that most of the time in-game will need a party to be able to finish quests.. |

Not even sure if it has to be factory sealed. I could be wrong so check Sony Station Players Help for help. But I think that if you are creating and activating an account for the first time in Vanguard, you get the first 30 days free. Keep in mind, you will still need to enter your credit card info or game card info to activate, but can cancel subscription next day to avoid being charged anything, if you find you don't like it. If it is open box, you may not be able to take advantage of in game "claims" (titles, items...) Good luck and Peace!! |

The cost of buying a copy off ebay is so menial its worth a try. If you like games like EQ and EQ2 you should enjoy Vanguard, just make sure you roll on one of the more popular servers or you will have a hard time getting groups. |

Originally posted by bluedragonnn Some of this can be true. I wouldn't suggest the PVP server and if at all possible, play a US server and you will have no problems finding people to group with. As most people playing for a while have created alts, they tend to move through the lowbie areas quickly and group with friends or guildies in the dungeons to get to the real "meat and potatoes" of the game. Dont be discouraged. Use the LFG Tool and Regional / OOC channels to find groups as well. Dont be afraid to ask questions as most people are willing to help answer. We have a great community now. As far as "ganking", I and many others have never experienced this (maybe on PVP, cause thats what they do). There is no reason a high level would have to come kill lowbie yard trash. The community in VG is more adult as some younger players tend not to have the patience this game requires to fully appreciate and enjoys its incredible amount and quality of content. Some of the quests do require help, as they are clearly labeled now as Solo, Group or Raid. If it says Group, it may only take 2-3 people or 5-6. It is intended as general info, not specific. I would suspect he just had a bad experience and it is too bad as the game is truly great now. Good luck and Peace!! |

There are plenty of players on the non-PVP side. You might have trouble finding a group til your mid-teens/early 20s. There are at least a dozen starting towns, so low characters are kinda scattered around a bit. |

There is also a European server. Not sure what the propulation is like on it, but it might be worth checking out if US servers don't fit into your playing time. I know in our guild we have a couple of brits. One is often on during prime-time US hours, so he's gotta be on a slightly odd schedule ;) |
