MMO's are never released finished. Furthermore, they are never complete even after years of launch.  This will never change, and it's impossible to have a bug free game... I may not like, but it's the fact of programming life.

lets see: sieges are broken, crafting is broken, spellweaving is not in, low level talents don't work, plenty of bugged quests, past lvl50 content is not even finished yet.

yup, looks like a little bit early.

I'm not sure about the use of this poll. Even those who are in love with the game would be unreasonable to vote No to it.

I don't recall any MMO released up to date to be considered finished. Always something is missing. Besides, what does finished means for an MMO?

yes...I think it was launched too early. At least it wasn't as bad as Vangaurd's launch though lol.

Its sort of shitty how they launch before some of the serious technical issues were dealt with...it kind of makes me angry that they expect people to pay monthly to test an unfinished game.

No this game was not launched before ready.  AOC has had one of the smoothest launches I have played ina  long long time and that's about a 6 year span.  I am up to level 30 and I have experienced MAYBE 1 bug this entire time.  I know a couple other people in my guild that have experienced a few...but nothing extreme.  I literally mean no more than 3 when i say a few, too.  AOC was well prepared for launch but there seems to be some speculation during the higher levels as to what is there for higher end content.  The only way to know is to ask a high level player that has surpassed level 40-50.  That is the only way to know for sure becuase most peple on these forums just talk bs.

I voted yes because, although many people claim that "no mmo is fully finished at realease" I think that this should not be the case for any game, regardless of genre. I'm not going to refer to any other product that would be ridiculous if released unfinished, as it has been already done time and time again on these forums.

A many times used example, the DirectX 10 feature of the game, promised for release but then delayed to August. If they knew it was going to be delayed and not with the release of the game, why suggest it would be? If it wasn't known that it would have to be delayed, why not?

The traders, although on this point I sympathise. They were originally released, then seen to be bugged and easily exploitable (and we all know Funcoms stance on expoits) so were understandably disabled. Kudos to Funcom for getting these back up and running.

The class problems, with the amount of people testing the game in Alpha or Beta, either the testers were completely inept, or Funcom was not stringent enough, to allow the current problems with the caster classes. Necromancers and Demonologists are currently pretty much crippled, although Funcom have acknowledged for both classes that they are aware of the problems and looking into fixes.

I'm sure many people could easily extend this list of problems, so I won't bother myself. Suffice to say there ARE problems and the game ISN'T finished to a satisfactory level. Regardless of other MMO releases, early releases should not happen if there are this level of problems with the game.

Don't get me wrong, I completely love the game, and have only suffered minor bugs myself, the only actual gameplay (and not programme related) errors I have had are being stuck to the spot, which has been fixed by a aimple relog.

Hardly any mmo ever has a perfect launch. Yeah there are still some issues that will be fixed soon but mostly everyone who is playing the games loves it.
