Lol. It actually does run on systems today believe it or not. I actually can play this game on very high graphics for the first time...shows what kind of system I was running back in the day. I finally got in game, and it was a blast. Met up with a couple of guys and did a few starter quests, hunted around Hebien-to lifestone and beach...died alot fighting things we should have run away from. If you guys come back in game, let one of us know. You can check out that new site that went up...plus I'll update the names list I have in the first post later today. |

The allegiance is filling out nicely. I've just stopped adding names to the original post, as they're all on the new website. The project is going strong, and tons of fun. |

I am new to AC.....I have played WoW LOTRO DDO EVE EQ2 Ragnarok online, almost all MMO's out there. I started playing MMO's in 2004 and so I dont know much about old school MMO's. After trying almost all games on this site I have almost given up on MMO's they all are the same. After reading quite a few posts on AC and UO I am excited aboput trying these games since they seem to be different from the new MMO's out there. Community is the most important thing for me in MMO's so I wanted to ask if you are willing to take new players in your guild..... I am from Asia btw but I can play during EST primetime. |

Of course we'll take you The game is quite old, been around since 1999. Alot of us had played back then when it was very popular. The game is simple as far as gameplay, but about as complex as far as storylines, quests, etc. The thing about this game is that quests are really very very optional, unlike other games that you've played (and I've played as well) where they hold your hand through quest after quest...and that's basically how the entire game is played. Here, your character can be more versatile than any other game out there. With someone to show you the ropes, the game is incredibly fun and different...and very addicting. We'll see you in game if you try. Use the free trial, and sign up on our website. We'll get to you in game and help you out. Good time to join as well, since we're all still quite low levels. |

Still going strong folks, and adding people to the list. We even got one from EQ that is new to AC. Take that EQ! asheronslegacy.com

Yeah, its working out well. Getting new people every couple of days it seems. As for screenshots, I haven't really taken any. But not much has changed as far as mechanics. Some new armor, new race, better weapons. We're still all pretty low level, as we're all relying on each other for buffs and items, but we're planning on getting together and doing some quests very soon. Lowbie quests that were classic...Hamud's Katar, focusing stone, atlan stones, that kind of thing. We spend alot of time sitting around and chatting too...which takes from our leveling speed I would say just grab a trial and come check the game out. It's really fun again. Just having others to run around with that aren't 300 levels above you makes a big difference. I've been trying to upkeep our members list. If you wanna swing by and try the game, check the members roster: asheronslegacy.com

After reading this thread, decided to give the game a try, havent played in like 3 years. Register for the trial, downloaded the client and ...... found out AC don't work with Vista. Check out the forum about the patching error i'm getting only to find out a dev saying they have NO plan on fixing the compatibility issues with Vista. Too bad. |

I have only had one game not work when doing this and that is the multi player function for COD4. but It has something to do with vista and my sound card which I have no idea how to fix. But I have a lot of mid-late 90s games on this PC and several 2003 games that are said not to work on vista but they run fine.
Downloading the trial to see if this works with it. May give it a run since I have nothing to play, already quit AoC and have been sitting on SB with a guild I do not like. Playing: EVE |

Seems lot I'm hearing of alot of people not as happy with AoC as should be expected. It's unfortunate, as alot of time and effort went into it...as did a lot of hype. In any case, everyone that played this game back in the day know what it has to offer, so it's always something nice people can fall back to when they can't seem to find a game to fill that mmorpg void. |

We've been getting new members literally every 1-2 days. Things are hopping and it's great fun. We now have our own little villa, and will be working on a mansion over the coming month (damn those golden gromnies). Still plenty of room for anyone that is missing the game and wants to play old school, with all the pain and vitae that comes along with it. asheronslegacy.com |
