From the start I  read if you're of rep exalted you only pay a very small portion for the epic ground mount.  I read it here in these forums and I read it in thottbot as well as in the games forums.  I had inquired if you needed to complete the entire exalted line or just get to it and was told all I needed to do was get to it and price would be 9g for the mount and 54g for the training for the ground epic mount.

When I was at "honored" the price was 90g for the mount and 540g for the training. It's a huge diffrence from paying this amount to just 9g and 54g. So I set out to run darnusses quests left and right . I did research on missions I needed to run and finally made it today after getting a total of 26k. which I needed to get to exalted.

But it wasn't anything as I had read. People posted without knowng themselves as the price turned out to be just 100g less then I would of paid had I not gone thru' all the trouble I went thru.  Although, I did save 100g on the original price, in the long run I didn't really save 100g as I had to pony up money to complete rounding up the last 1500 or so points I needed in runecloths.

I had almost 350 runecloths myself saved up which I gave in which would of gotten me money in the AH. But it was ok since I figured I would be saving much more with the discount I had expected to get once I hit exalted. Plus, even with me putting my cloths in I still needed to buy more once I turned mine in for the remaining 200-350 something pts.

I spent a lot of time, almost 2 weeks running back and forth from zone to zone thinking it would be worth it doing these quests .  Had I known the truth I would of just paid the original amt since it's what I almost spent anyway and I wouldn't of wasted so much time on this plus I would of gotten further on my leveling up .

Too late now. Hopefully the flying mount isn't anything like this. Although, as a druid I don't really need it.

I dont need to
"get a life".
Im a gamer, I have
LOTS of LIVES!

Ouch.  Oh well, live and learn I guess.  Can't tell you how many stupid things I have done like got a bunch of mats together to make an epic item to send to one of my other characters only to find out it was bind on pickup. D'oh!!!  Bind on pickup crafted items are a real pet peave of mine.

By the way I think the Epic Flying mount is pretty much the same way, I think it's 5000 gold no matter what you do for the most part.  The good news is that once you hit 70, you can just do daily quests and will make about 100g in an hour or 2, so it really doesn't take that long to save up 5000 gold.  Personally I don't think the Epic Flying mount is worth it, but most people have them, so what do I know.
