im tiered of seeing people complaining about games havening to high system requirements...if your a serious pc gamer then you will keep your computer updated...to run games.

also...keeping a pc updates is not that expensive...sure the initial cost is pretty expensive ... but for the next couple years you really will not spend that mush on updates(if any)...(unless your a pc enthusiast)

also pc games give you tweaking options...for those with lower end rigs...

its like a console gamers will keep updated with the latest consoles...i don't see people with ps2 complaining at the lack of new games for it...

"I play MMORPGs to feel FREE, yet I am always in chains."

I disagree, respectfully.

In fact, it surprises me the importance developers place on graphics (please see WoW if you're a developer reading this and still don't get it).

If anything, more better graphics = less customers.  Content, world feel, gameplay, customization, opportunities to impact the game, and so forth are so much more important than graphics.

If every company decided to keep the visual requirements the same, it will slow down the production and the  research and developments in providing faster processers/powerful graphic cards. There wont be no point in upgrading/ home users wont buy hardware for no increase in performance so the technological companies will have no reason or funding to continue

Edit: damn it lol

The graphics are still fine actually, its the gameplay that could use an overhaul.

Yeah, I agree, as a PC gamer for over 20 years it has been a constant struggle to upgrade/purchase new hardware to support my gaming hobby.  Console gamers have it easy, a new box every 3 years, and they cost between 250-750 bucks.  Gee, perhaps thats why they outsell PC games by about a 10 to 1 factor eh?

PC game developers could take a few lessons from the console folks when designing their games.  Oh wait, Blizzard already did.

only if you have no other responsibilities other than keeping your self satisfied, once there are more than yourself to satisfy, everything changes

You have to tip your hat to Blizzard, they do learn and create great games (Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, and, yes, even WoW is great).

Graphics are so overrated that they could even be a factor for a game's failure - Vanguard, e.g.

Enlighten us, 20 year old gamer.

Some of us have to buy suits, tailor, car insurance, mortgages, etc.

We do not want to spend even more money on PC parts.  But, if you have a solution, enlighten us!
