Yea you heard me well, in Darkfall you can only have one toon per server. If you want to try another race or class, you have to delete your first character or change server. I really dont like this feature |

well, if true it prevents folks from escaping their reputation. Since its a skill based game (no real classes) I'm not really concerned, though it is a bit of a shame you can't play another race on the same server.

This is the best way to go for a sandbox game for a number of reasons. 1. Crafters are useful because not everyone has one. 2. You can't just pk someone then jump on a different character and act like nothing happened. There are actual consequences. I don't really want to list anymore because I realized they all come back to the same thing. The choices you make actually affect you. |

Maybe someone else could explain as well. Skill based game not level based , classes dont really exist . Some templates exist for what are called presitge classes but these just align to a set of skill anyone can have. Prestige may give some bonuses but like I said above skill based.. As far as race goes you can play another server. |

Originally posted by ghoul31In UO, many people had a mule character that made them everything they need so they had no reason to go to other players to craft. New people or people who were too lazy to make a crafting character still needed crafters, but it was still limiting. Most veterans had crafters so they became more and more useless. SCS just makes crafters more rare, making them more valueable. I compare it to UO because I think it will be most like DF, though I don't really know. SWG also had SCS I think. Some people might have a few crafting skills, but most people probably won't have enough to be self-sufficient. Some people like pking and will only have one account. Nothing you can do to stop people from having alt accounts, it will be a minority though according to polls on the DF forums. |

Want Darkfall now! |
I support the one character per server to 100%. To play and live the MMO world should be the main purpose, not sitting and creating new characters all the time. Then if a PKer get another account....does anyone think he/she wont also begin to PK with that also?? If they couldent let it be with the first, no reason why they shouldent do it with the next. And then its gonna take time to earn respect, reputation and contacts in Darkfall. Making new characters will only set you back all the time. The clan/race wars will make players very suspicious agenst weirdos creating "alts" all the time. |
