We'll start with Early Access.

Early Access is Closed, and has not been taking payments for a few days. If you got into Early Access before the shut off date, within 24 hours of purchasing Early Access for $5, you will receive an E-mail explaining to go back to your main account summary page and look for an Early Access-USA Link, the link leads to a 13.7gb download. Due to the download's large size and so many people with Early Access having issues downloading, Funcom told their distributors to sell pre-orders 4 days early on the 17th as opposed to gamestop's standard '1 day after release' sale on the 21st. This let people with slower connections or who got the download link late, to go pickup their preorder and install from the DVD's to save time and be ready for Early Access on the 17th. If you tried to pay for early access but did not get in, then you will not receive an email. If you signed up for early access within the last 3 days, odds are you were part of the overflow that didnt make it in time for Funcom's cutoff. They limited the number of early access purchases to limit the number of players entering the world early.

Now let's discuss Patching.

The AoC Patcher is most-often online and allowing people to download their patches. However sometimes the Patch Server does go offline for either maintenance of updates. When the patch server goes offline, the Game Patcher won't download anything. It will sit forever saying "Downloading patch information..." If your Patch Client doesn't download any patches when you open it, or it seems to be frozen at at the beginning of the download, it is because the patching server is offline. Whether or not you must restart the client to resume any patches when the patch server comes online, is unknown. You may be able to leave your patch client sitting waiting to download, it may automatically start downloading when the patching server comes online. Probably will require a patch client restart though.

Onto the server opening times!

As of  my  knowledge, the Early Access servers will open on May 17th (Today) at 1PM EST

Well, I didn't purchase Early Access, but I did preorder and I do have the game box with me right now. I installed the game and it says that I am apart of the Early Access program, but I didn't pay 5$ for anything except the preorder. Do I still get in today?

To get into the early access, when you create your funcom aoc account, you must select the $5 early access bonus, once it's payed for and you get your notoriously late email, then yes you would've been eligible. But no I don't think you will be allowed to login with your account today.

So people that have Ealry Access stating in there account is able to participate?  When I purchased the EA and i couldn't download I opened up a ticket. I got an auto response telling me that EA was sold out. The next morning which was the 15th i got another email saying "click here to download client" I did and ran game to patch. So im kinda confused it im in the EA still.

I had my friend give me the download exe so I could start my early access download before the email arrived late. Check your funcom account and your bank account, if their side shows the $5 approved, and your bank shows the $5 charged, then they technically sold you something. Who knows, we'll see in 3 hours! good luck!

The patch client does not login to your account to verify anything. It simply does as it is told. If your account doesn't show early access being paid for and active, then when you login with your account, it will say No.

yeah it have tells me i have been approved for EA. I don't know why they would still charge for something that is sold out, but then It appears i have been accepted after they sold out.

It could be a number of time variables.

You could've purchased it an hour before they shut it off, and your charge went through 2 minutes before they closed it up, and your belated email arriving late although seemingly standard at this point, definately didnt help clear up any of the question, and when you emailed them, you said it auto responses that it was closed, probably because you called after they had infact closed it up, but your CC# was safely secure in their private 'i cant believe we just made this much money' vault.

PVP server rules, with GM forced and encouraged player Roleplaying in Character.

Player Versus Player / Role-Playing server.

It means that you can PvP and Role-Play on it. Even though you can role-play on any server you want, some people like designated servers so they will be paired with other people who role-play.

I was accepted into the early access program, charged $5, downloaded the game, installed it, and patched it.

The EAP was said to start at 10am PST, it is now 12:30 PST and I still can't connect to the Authentication Servers.  For whatever reason no matter what I do on the official forums it says my login info is wrong.  Could someone please tell me what's going on?

3hour delay
