Nice thread title. Yeah, people just love to b*tch and moan about things, which makes finding good posts to read and bad posts to avoid a very tedious job indeed.

AoC may look good, but if experience with games teaches you anything, it's that a good graphics don't make a good game and with an MMO this is triply so and with good graphics you really risk alienating those with a geforce 7 series or Ati 1800 series or lower and if reports are to be believed (which they are not, should be taken with a pinch of salt) an 8800GT or similar card may be required to play the game with an acceptable level of eye candy.

what you're stating is pretty much obvious to all of us. Like I said, it's pretty easy to ignore. Just don't waste time reading obvious threads of people who obviously don't understand system req... there will be plenty, no reason to waste your life trying to read all of them or convince these people otherwise... I prefer not playing with those sorts of people to begin with.

Can't agree more with the OP.  When I played Vanguard it worked fine on my rig and I saw dozens of people have performance issues.  I was always there to offer advice and 99 out of 100 conversations I had would go something like this:

Moaner: "I cant play this POS game, my fps are like 10 and it keeps freezing up!!!"

Me: "What kind of rig do you have?"

Moaner: "I have a 6600gt 256 mb video card with 1 gig of ram..."

Me: /ignore

Now Vanguard isn't the best game but the performance 90% of the time was fine on my rig because I had more than the recommended settings.  If you have a rig that is not up to recommended specs then no matter how much defragging, registery cleaning, task manager tweaking can ever make a game like AoC work. 

Is it the fault of the developers? No! The game needs a tough rig and everyone knows it.

Another reason why you will see a bunch of hate mail vs fanboi mail is due to all the players who are enjoying the game are actually to busy to visit forums and write.  I know when I get into a game I don't waste my time writing in forums, I'm out adventuring!

I lol'ed. Almost all games have "they cant play the game" complaints. It's one of the reason why consoles games sell more then pcs games!!!

I do like consoles for that one reason. Pop in the game and go. No loading times (compared to PC anyways...), no system requirements, no worries. Also, yeah, OP. You win the award for the longest and whining...est... title I've ever seen. Everyone knows people will complain, just for the sake of complaining.
