But in looking at the screenshots I was wondering if anyone can comment on whether there is a lot of diversity in what people/players will look like. I know it won't even come close to CoH but I wonder if it will be enough such that you can tell people apart or at least such that everyone won't look like a clone.

Can anyone who has played comment on this?

I thinik they have mentioned in interviews and such that you will be able to tell who someone is just by looking at their face. As far as armor goes i remeber seeing a video that had like 1500 sets of armor in the game for launch.

armour tends to look like real armour, and does not tend to act as a label to what class it is like you (the 10mil from wow) are used to.
