Today I just got a message from GameStop telling me that I can buy the game tomorrow (friday the 16th) since I preordered it. Hmmm...I guess they really did try to get an extra buck out of us, because it's obvously not a hassle to get the game disks out 3 days ahead of time.
Thoughts? |

I think Funcom is trying to be a good company and help out the people who are having problems downloading the client before Early Acess begins. Its gonna be weird having the boxed game before its even playable... |

There is a downside to your opinoin though, because Funcom would of HAVE to have known that they would release the gamedisks on the 16th, because GameStop had to be stocked. It's not something that you can call all the stores that will sell AoC overnight and tell them that they can release it earlier. And Everith, you think on the Positive side haha. |

To be honest, its most likely the stores don't even have them in stock yet. Most of the time Game stop gets the game in the day they tell me to pick it up. Anyhow, the client downloading began the 10th, im guessing that was enough time to realize people were going to have problems downloading it by the 17th and they shifted into high gear to avoid a problem. Who knows for sure but thats my take on the situation. |

Depends on what you think is worth it. It comes with some pretty nice/novelty in-game items; A cape that grants free drinks from taverns for life, a +xp ring, and some artwork and Cds/DvDs...could be interesting Now what I want to know is will I be able to use my CE code to get those In-game items for Early-Access? i want to use my cape :) |
