Just look at WoW, at first there was always people ganking on PVP or RPPVP servers. slowly it died when people got tired of being ass raped by the person they were ganking's friends.

I will only engage in combat with someone my or close to my level seeing that Skill has a bigger part in AoC than WoW. Or I will target people who have gave my guildie or friends a hard time.

I disagree; I think ganking will decrease, but it will still be there. It's probably the one of the biggest factors that keep people away from pvp. It doesn't even take that many incidents to convince people that maybe pvp isn't the game style they want to embrace.

Meh. FC is bound to introduce some rules to help against stuff like spawn camping or killing you while talking to an NPC.

Aside from that it's up to the players to help counter ganking. Guilds will form. Enemies and alliances will form. It's all good and fun. It's a part of FFA PVP and I welcome the ganking.. makes the community come together and lets players choose who they want to be.

I'm going to gank enemy guilds or someone that's taking my mobs, etc.. whatever. I won't be standing in noob areas 1 hitting everyone though.. that's no fun and no challenge, but hey if someone gets their rocks of doing so.. go right ahead, but watch out for my army of undead, because I'm gonna rape you into next sunday.

My response to whoever plays a MMO to be anti-social is you need to find more friends. Having more people than your 'gankers' makes you a less inviting target. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

Also if you're going to throw the 'I just want to quest' argument out there....you shouldn't be on a PvP server.

Yes, friends help...it's just hard initially to get those friends. As for the a$$ .... well that's the other reason people stay away from pvp...the attitudes of those who get into it far too much.

Look at WoW 2.5 yrs later and anyone will still gank u every chance they get...especially the rogues!  Now with AoC everyone can stealth regardless of class and you think it'll go away!  LOL

The ganking will never stop, even after they nerf it every few months like Blizzard has tried with their Rogue and Stealth...

Hi, my name is Timmy and I am 13 years old. I have alot of friends at middle skool, and we will all be off the entire summer starting in June with nothing to do other than bug our parents and sisters, or play AOC to gank. You can just about guess what our parents and sisters would rather see us spend all day doing. You think you can pwn us because we are noob griefers, well, just to let you know, we have been ruining  games that allow PvP for years. That is what we do, and we do it best.

And we can't wait to see you in game.

Smartest thing i've read on the boards in quite a while. a little 20 dwarf was running through Thousand Needles today and he was being gacked, camped and gacked again. It will never...ever...end. So  choose wisely my friends  or join an ewber guild right away.

It may not be the same bloodbath this past weekend was but there are always going to be those individuals who enjoy mowing people down. I do hope for the sake of PvP'ers that they have level limitations or harsh penalties. If a level 50 Pvps a level 20, 10 level 80 guards come out and beat the snot out of him/her. Or even better, throws them in a game 'jail' for a week game time so they get a 'timeout'.
