alrighty friend, what im about to post is 100% true, none of it will be up for interpretation, its 100% fact You did not get in to Early Access Regardless of what you think, complaining will not get you in to Early Access Whether or not you think Funcom engaged in false advertisment is irrelevant, they will not be punished in any way unless you refuse to buy the game Even if you convinced every member of this forum funcom did wrong you still would not get in to early access complaining about not getting in will do you no good, you are just wasting your time and embarrasing yourself The information regarding the limited availability of early access was readily available from the start via funcoms website and forums It is not the fault of funcom you ordered from a website or retailer that did not disclose all of the restrictions. And I will say once more Regardless of how much you complain, whine, cry, convince people you are write and Funcom is wrong - it DOES NOT MATTER, IT WILL NOT GET YOU IN. Your complaining will not make the game fail. Funcom will still market the product. If you dont like it, dont buy the game. Also, it is not the fault of funcom that walmart or best buy will not return your opened preorder box, so dont put that on them either. just accept these facts and stop wasting your time, its doing you no good, it will continue to do you no good and i assure you it will not convince funcom to reopen early access |

The GAME PUBLISHER Eidos has said all of the keys HAVE EARLY ACCESS, "there are more than enough keys, they all have early access ,dont worry you will get the key on time.", this was just 2 days ago Many retailers didn't know about this, even Amazon UK, were scammed together with the customers.
AGAIN READ THE THREAD before blabering : AoC publisher confirms early access for all preorders

See? It was mentioned before and explained. And thats dated May 5th after the press release and other information contained in this thread. In other words, thats the last word from Funcom on the issue that I know of. Edit: The posts from Amazon are dated May 12th, just noticed that. But again that came from the publisher, not Funcom. |

My god... who wants to pay five bucks for a three days of early access? seriousely. All along it was stated by funcom that pre-order keys and early access keys were different and seperate entities. |

So it is Funcom's fault that retailers were lying ( your words)?
As someone pointed out, Eidos are the publishers not Funcom. And quite frankly a big 2 fingers to all those who now feel it is beneath them to check the official source for factual info, you reap the benefits of your own lazyness.
Could it have been handled better? Yes. But it wasn't and it's pathetic to be crying like a 5 year old becuase early access is full. I want it NOW NOW NOW or not at all.....
You are lying through your teeth; Funcom did not charge for "open beta". You do not purchase an Early Access "key" --- NO SUCH THING EXISTS The £/$5 fee connected to Early Access buys you 10 EXTRA DAYS GAME TIME and covers the cost of the download. Only Funcom know why they limited early access, and they posted the reasons in the announcement.

Of course, when a company enters shady practices they will cover up their asses, they aren't stupid, are they. So its the fault of the customers and the retailers if they didn't go check out some 1 liners posted by some "moderators" (yes "moderators) in the middle of some threads on a couple forums ? After the Funcom newsletter, the Funcom press release, the Publisher confirmation to retailers even 2 days ago, etc... ? Where is the Funcom email after the newsletter to inform people ? Where is the Funcom press release that offsets the first one to inform people of the change ? Even the GAME PUBLISHER didn't know it 2 days ago.
