Greetings,

The last time I played SWG was a month after release back in the summer of 2003. Back then the game was so broken and unplayable, I had to quit. 5 years later, I'm thinking of returning since there isn't anything else I want to play.

I have been lurking around the forums and obviously SWG isn't doing to good right now with active accounts due to the new enhancements back in late 2006 which upset many ppl. Regardless, I still want to give it a shot. I'm not expecting much, but I do have a very important question I'd like to ask the Vets.

Whats the most populated server? I don't want to play on a dead server cause that would be pretty lame. So If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I personally play on the Bloodfin server, and it is pretty populated considering that every single planet that you can build a player city on is filled to the brim with them. anyways, it is the only server i have ever played on so i have nothing to compare it to. also, if you need help getting into the game, just message me. As you can imagine, the game has been through many changes since 2003.

Well, if you thought it was broken and unplayable back then just wait until you try it this time.  It's 1,000 times worse and it doesn't even have the good qualities it once did.

Even on the most populated server (Bloodfin) you MIGHT see 50 people on the entire server, at peak hours.  Myself and other vets just used our trials to check it out, we have screenshots to prove it.

So basically, use the Free Trial, don't pay them a dime.  SWG is currently one of the worst MMO games in the world, it has almost no players and is more broken now than ever.

Nice fabrication there...  Sure every planet may be filled with player cities, you forgot to mention a small little point...  99% OF THE PLAYER CITIES ARE GHOST TOWNS FROM BEFORE 2005.  Just a small tidbit of information this guy may want before he spends money subbing to this game...

At least be honest when people ask questions.

I bet the total server population of ACTIVE players on Bloodfin is under 250 total players.  I have a toon on Bloodfin, I saw it just 2 weeks ago.

Hey man, i enjoy the game, i enjoy playing on Bloodfin and i was telling him what i think. If you wanna scream about stuff go to the angry vet forum, far far away where i can't hear it.

I really wish you would be honest yourself, here is last weeks GCW stats, based on the fact that there are 823 officers listed here and that only a small fraction of the total player base is a ranked officer you can be the judge if there are as you claim "under 250 active players on the server"

823 of 9370 Officers shown (8.78%).

The Officers shown have all in all 2233110 PvP Kills (2713 average).

Last week the Officers shown gained all in all 16466 PvP Kills (20 average).

There were 80 promotions, 55 demotions and 21 respecs (Full Respec-Stats).

Of the Officers shown there are

• 136 Bounty Hunter (16.52%), 120 Commando (14.58%), 10 Entertainer (1.21%), 271 Jedi (32.92%), 128 Medic (15.55%), 72 Officer (8.74%), 24 Smuggler (2.91%), 53 Spy (6.43%), 9 Trader (1.09%),

• 434 Imperial (52.73%), 389 Rebel (47.26%),

• 102 Captain (12.39%), 73 Colonel (8.86%), 171 General (20.77%), 323 Lieutenant (39.24%), 87 Lt Colonel / Commander (10.57%), 67 Major (8.14%),

• 823 Bloodfin (100%),

I would say Bria is probably the most populated. Depending on your hours though, you might be better off going with one of the Euro servers (chimera I think?)

Bloodfin is larger than most and is east coast

Bria is largest I think and is west coast.

lol...the vast majority of those kills were from a handful of players killing alts in their house. There is no way there is that much actual PvP going on.

I think you're not being totally honest here either...those are some nice numbers, but you didn't bring up the fact that many of those have alts and that many of those kills are not unique, but rather the same people getting killed over and over.

I don't know, but that's just a guess on my part....either way the OP should get some kind of idea what it's like now if he goes and tried out the free trial for himself.  I pretty sure he will be dissapointed with the population since he's going to be basing his opinion on how it was when he first quit five years ago; when the servers were about at peak in the early days.
