The game was NOT restarted in 2003, that's absurd.

Do you really think they dumped 4 years of development 1999-2003, changed EVERYTHING, erased from their memory 4 years of work, just because they moved to Greece ?

They restarted NOTHING(except the graphics) , they took over where they left.

The game has started in 1999 and we are in 2008, almost a decade, not 5 years like the fanatics like to claim.

Yawn, come on trolls, at least try.  I mean I know you arn't the brightest, but come on.  You could at least try and find something to bash.  Developement time really doesn't even matter if the game is released so why target it?  You new trolls are pathetic, at leat ghoul31 and the old trolls would bring up real points sometimes.  All these troll threads now are like pep rallies.  "DF sux for X reason I made up!"  Other trolls "Yeah you are so right".  It's like a political talk show, everyone that listens already has the views the host has so they agree with everything said, so it stops being informative and begins being just entertainment.

I would have thought you trolls would stop since AoC is about to come out and since DF announced a release date.  You know so people would forgot about you and you could say you weren't a troll when you are playing.

The game was scheduled to release in Fall 2003. Pull out any 2003 gaming mag and you'll see it.

They only missed the deadline by five years.... no biggie, right? ;)

why are there trolls? Its not like they gain something by trolling (ego?). You are not going to change any fanboys opinion just like they are not going to change yours. so why even bother? fanboys dont believe anything you say and you dont believe anything fanboys say. Do you just want attention or something? did your parents not give you any attention as a child? do the other 12 year olds not give you attention? go play WoW maybe then you can get uber gear by playing alot and act like it means something.

The skeptics are not talking to the fanboys.  The fanboys are not talking to the skeptics.  Sure, they reply to each others posts - but the real audience are those in the middle.  Actual trolls, whether they be fanboy or skeptic, are entertaining themselves at our expense.  There ya go.

Yup Razorwax the old company announced a beta date 2002 and planned a release 2003. This changed when they merged with Aventurine.

DF restarted from scratch summer 2003. You have to develop a game first before releasing it.

Best case: they were not honest with us.  Worst case: just another excuse to buy more time.  I dont like either one.

There is no way in hell Adventurine restarted from "scratch" 4 years of development (1999-2003), stop bs us with your lies, you have no proof whatsoever.  Darkfall has been in development 9 years and is aiming for a decade in 6 months, dont listen to Aragon and Downtoearth.

Why are there fanbois?  Why would anyone "root" for a video game, or think they have a vested interest in whether it comes out or not?  Its like good and evil, or yin and yang, there has to be an opposite force in the universe.

Both sides like to argue is really what it all comes down to, simple as that.

The hard question is, why does it upset you?
