I've seen this question probably about a thousand times and to be honest it's a toss up between all the freebies......most are Asian grind fests.........for a free one maybe Dungeon Runners for pure hack and slash...most are going to recommend to you their favorite generic RPG..MMO...LMAO
I'd say just play some free trials of P2p MMO'S.... |

Probably one of those that were p2p and turned f2p... Archlord or Rising Force...
Then you have ALLL those free asian grind that are pretty much the same btw.... Free sucks but... oh well.. |

It isn't out yet, but Mythos is supposed to be really good. I wasnt one of the fortunate ones to get into the beta though. |

I really enjoyed my time playing Project Torque, although it's less of an MMORPG and more of an instanced online racing game. Still, the only grinding you have to do is through competing in online races, and the game controls like a dream. It's very enjoyable as far as free online games go. |

I did enjoy Anarchy Online for quite some time. I'll also bring up Shattered Galaxy. It's not an RPG, but it's an alternative to the "more of the same games here" answer. It's F2P for the most part, with the option to pay for certain privileges. |

Mythos far and away is the best. Like Diablo and Fate....great graphics great humor and fun online play...very cool game. |
