a game in which you play anti-hero, Dark Elf, baseball players that must survive in a dark, post apocalyptic, world!

What else would you expect from Kurt Schilling, R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane?!?!

On a serious note it looks as if it could be sci-fi. Check out the working title and its meaning, Copernicus .

Hmm, Nicolaus Copernicus, heliocentric theory, on the revolution of celestial spheres???? Sounds sci-fi to me!

Definately fantasy.. and i know that the market is over crowded with fantasy based MMO's, but come on it's Salvator... his books are bloody amazing and I cant wait to see what kind of story he can inject into an MMO.

Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s.

I think the market is over-crowded with bad fantasy MMORPG's, but many of us on these boards are waiting for a really good design to come out.

I hope they do this right.

"Copernicus" is prolly to let us think that their game will be revolutionary... not sci-fi. Copernicus, the astronomer, as little to do with sci-fi as he was born and died quite a long time ago but it has a lot to do with changing the way things are done and how we think of the universe as a whole.

Mostly, a publicity stunt.
