My guess is that you'll be able to play at Low or Medium with a few adjustments on your desktop but I am not sure if your laptop will be able to play at all due to the low RAM video card. Only one way to know for certain. . .

Its funny cause I thought the same thing, about the low ram, however I run LOTRO on it with very little performance issues, and its a dx10 card.

At "can I run it" my laptop showed "pass"

 

So i dunno, I would rather play on the laptop with wireless like I do now.
