Hey slick, if you think every company has shitty business practices you are dealing with the wrong ones. SOE acts like my electric or cable company. Sure, they can take a big dump on my head, and there isn't much I can do, but no other company is allowed to treat me like crap. Why would you take that? Are you some sort of simpleton?

I've played 3 different retail SOE games and have resubscribed to one about a dozen or so times, I've never personally been affected by a single bad thing. I've personally never had a problem with customer service or anything of that matter. If I was burned, I'd probably stay away. Don't call me a simpleton for playing a game that has never given me any problems. I haven't taken any crap at all, maybe I'm just lucky. Either way you just come off like an asshole.

I'm not very familiar with SOE practises, but usually they clearly state in the game box that additional fees apply.

And you should be able to pass the credit card requirement if you use a valid game time card instead. But if the graphics aren't working for you, I wouldn't suggest spending any more money on the game. Cheaper to just accept the loss and move on.
