I've been watching the development of this game since it was posted here on mmorpg.com and Im finally downloading it.

I'm right there with you buddy.  It's been a really long time coming, and i'm ridiculously excited about calling Hyboria a home away from home.

By the hairy balls of the gods I cant wait to anymore.

What is more unbelievable is that they had us sign up for beta and didn't send us anything for open beta.  You would think they would send us an email telling us about it and where to go to get it since we expressed an interest in beta, but instead they handed it off to someone else and didn't bother with us at all.

Shouldn't you give incentives to people who have expressed an interest in your product first before you hand it off to the customers of a 3rd party?  I don't want to sign up to a 3rd party and I don't think I should have to since I am already a member of the 1st party.

I have to submit to what amounts to red tape in order to play a game?

Cut the crap and keep it simple is that too much to ask?

Oh, and have fun playing the game.

If you had been following the game you would have known, IMO.  Also, it makes sense for companies to use fileplanet for stuff like that, they already have the infrastructure to provide gobs of bandwidth for downloads of a 13gb client.  Gives the devs time to focus on finishing up/fixing shit with the game.

After a grueling day at work I came home to the early access pre-order email. What a nice way to end the day. downloading client now...see you on the 17th!

Game is going to arrive before this gets done downloading. I forwarded the ports like it says to do and stil no speed increase.
