We saw games "born" and "die" (i assume you are talking about audience here) all time. WoW wont be a exception. If you ask how long it will take the answer is unknow. Meanwhile, there are some hints its already started: Article about it: http://rog.gameslate.com/mmorog/warcraftrealms-graphs-wow-decline Sources: http://www.warcraftrealms.com/temp/activity.htm

Originally posted by Horny I define "die" as "gone", "dead", "No more". Auto Assault died, Ryzom died. There are still games around that weren't nearly as successfull as WoW. If games like AC, DAOC, EQ, UO, Lineage, etc are still around with a player base I don't see any reason why, at some long point in the future, WoW won't experience the same thing. |

The bottom line is wow wont die. It holds more then half of all MMO Subs. It will take hella to kill it. |

If it has levels and questing for xp, it sux! |
Originally posted by MasterPain55 WoW's biggest problem, and its future failure, is the community. There is no real community in game because: 1) No houseing - people who live close togther begin to watch out for one another and become "tight" which builds bonds. WoW has no social side. 2) Reaching max level is possible solo. If you dont need others you tend NOT to care about them. 3) Everything is static. Nothing you do can change the game, so why care? Compare wow's community to EQ2's, and you see a world of difference. |

I think the only way it will die is if Blizzard really, really screw up.
