Age of Conan

Age of Conan will have 1500 armor sets in game at launch.

Itemization is not in the beta yet, most of the items we have in game now are only place holders. Funcom doesn't want to spoil it before release.

If you watch the whole thing they say "pieces" not "set".

Still nice though. I've seen some really good looking stuff in game.

Nope, the developer showing the preview says it's 1500 armor sets. (He also says some of the sets are not full sets).

It's just another guy messing it up by saying "sets, not pieces, not sets".

Funcom has also been quoted several times in the past talking about 1500 armor sets. The AoC wikia entry also confirms this with "With over 1500 armor sets available, you can pretty much rest assured you won't be seeing many armor clones running around, the odd few sure.":  http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Armor_Sets

Its 1500 armor sets (including cloth) of 4-8 pieces in each set :)

I filmed that.

So roughly 200 'sets' out of the 1500 pieces? I admit some of the armor looks really nice, but the rest seems like they only spent 5 minutes designing them... Guess it doesn't matter since everyone will eventually out-grow the plain looking low-end armor.

Sorry, I also thought the guy in the video said "1500 pieces, not sets". After re-watching it was the other way around.

Several thousand pieces of armor is amazingly huge. I'm sure there will be at least a couple hundred great looking sets, that's largely more than enough
