WTF is with the /instanceselection in the main world? I was told it was only 1-20 where it would be like this ..... this game's instances take the "MM" out of MMORPG. I'm still prolly gonna buy it. Its just gonna be very hard to look passed this crappy design flaw.

We are recruiting.

The game works like many other MMOGs in that once a zone gets to a certain capacity in players, it creates a duplicate of itself. Right now there are several instances for the zones folks are in because the zones are so overloaded with players. As the game is released and the populations spread out, the only place you'll see it happen is in Tortage or other zones during large events.

They don't call it it Age of Clonecraft for nothing.

All this because they wanted to have more pixels. Sigh...

And the 5 FPS issue stays with all these players in the same zone.

What a mess...

Lets give FunCom a little credit, having sieges in multiple instances, makes absolutely no sense. Im pretty sure they have taken this into consideration.

Well that's opinion now isn't it? It's not a design flaw if the developers actually put it in on purpose. It would be a design flaw if they put something in that caused a greater problem. This is only a problem if you think it is. Some might others not. This is how EQ 2 works. It's possible that other games work like this too. Is it great? Well, no. But it is actually DESIGNED this way so that players don't have too many people on their screen. It's essentially a nod to the fact that if you are going to try to create a certain graphical look then of course certain accomodations need to be made.

I also remember that Guild Wars works like this. So... it's not a flaw. It's just something that you don't like. Fortunately you will be able to find your mates and change the iteration that you are in.

In the end, it is what it is.
