I am pretty sure he is playing the fileplanet beta which i have access to and the real general beta but the fileplanet beta client is not going to be used for the game so quit your ranting

every person that says they got problems either is playing on settings there comp cant take or has driver issues cuz i have no problems whaatsoever

I love when people with unoptimized rigs/clients complain about things and try to report it as the end all-be all review.  I have a very middle of the line rig, but with fully updated drivers and I was dropped into that area with at least 40 other people standing on top of each other, and i had less lag then I do in PVP for inferior types of games.  Just because it doesn't work well on your computer, doesn't mean it's broken.  It probably means your computer just needs some work.  Plus the fact that this is a beta.  If you've ever betaed a game before they almost never run smoothly.  Even games that turn out to be amazing may not look good until a few weeks or even months in.  The hard fact remains that if you don't like the way a game runs on your stone-age comp.  Don't flame it, because you're just gonna look like a fool.  Now if you have a NASA/Government Agency Rig and there's slow down or drops or freezes, in a non-beta version of a game, feel free to report it to the general public.

I found two results depending on location / server.

Played my Demo which is stygian on server 3 and had a freaking nightmare at times in the open pvp zone. Infact at one point i could hear mass combat but not see ANYONE, I was taking damage and then died. I also got stuck in limbo as I was dead, but not dead and had no res option. Upon relog I could use no skills until I got myself killed and respawned.

This happened quite alot until I got fed up with it, and being spawn camped by gangs of ferral youths.

I then logged into my barbarian on server 2, the Conan Valley was a complete contrast in performance. Not sure if there is any science behind this, or just coincidence.

On a side note, not too sure how well the pvp will pan out, I encountered many a fight in which my target just ran round and round and round me swinging his weapon randomly.

Enlightment on the way! I am not an Acolyte, or a member of any Aoc guild, and today I was getting 50-60 fps on high 1280 x 1024. With people all over.

I love it. The hub cities are so huuuuuuuuuuuuge, especially Old Tarantia. It's funny to hang out by the courtesans and hear them turn down men.

Using the fileplanet client I get 30+ fps at the spawn camping fights which include quite a few people. Hardly a high end rig on my part.

Intel C2d 6600 (2.4ghz)

2gb geil memory (don't have the exact stats of it on hand)

geforce 9800GTX

I just tweaked the settings a bit from default. High details on textures and ground. Shadows self only. 1600x1200 resolution. No bloom or AA. Shader 2.x

Using AA or bloom kills framerate when multiple people are visible, switching from shader 3.0 to 2.X also helped a lot on fps.

Another wonderfully insightful post from the group that call themselves the Acolytes. I'm curious to know if any of your guildies have problems with AOC. Seems all I see on these forums are 1 line posts with a gigantic Acolyte signature. Woah chill the hell out man.  My wife was yelling for me so I cut the post short.  My posts are usually insightful so to blast me because one time I cut it short is a little uncalled for.  Where is all of your animosity coming from??

Of course we have member who have problems, and we help them figure out how to fix them.  I have a 8800 and it runs pretty smooth, and it maintains said smoothness in PvP of all types.  I had been running the client for 3 hours without any crashes or long loading times before I posted. 

I don't know what your problem is with the Acolytes, or with me, but maybe you should relax a little.

2GB RAM/AMD 6000+/8600GTS/AM2 Croshair (motherboard)...runing smooth on high(only self shadow) with 1280x1024.
