How to get a performance increase you ask? Buy the game.

No this isnt a joke. Lets just say, from a patch performance has improved ridiculously. Along with load times taking around 15-20 secs initial load. What are my specs you ask?

Nvidia 7800GTX 256mb

2 gigs 533mhz RAM

3.2 Intel Pentium D Dual Core

So basically on an average rig which is just below the recommended i'm now running the game on medium graphics, with shadows disabled and AA x4 - running at a steady 25-30fps.

However I cannot give away any specifics apart from saying that the devs really meant it when they said performance improvements will be made for the retail version. And theres no doubt that they devs will continue to make performance increases before and after the launch of the game.

If your worried about AoC and its performance just buy the retail copy as you'l see just what I mean.

Or get a buddy key first to try it out.

I won't buy without a buddy key trial or one offered by Funcom.

But I do think this one will turn out alright......but I still won't hand out $50 without a test drive

I'm think of getting one of those hardware firewall/anti virus usb dongles, and then I can ditch the software internet security package I have and get a load fo performance back.

My system is the same as the OP so good to know that my system should be able to take it.

Trust me when i say to all the OB players that the performance is hugely improved. I really mean it, and talking ingame to others everyone is amazed at how much an improvement this patch has made. Usually when devs say theyve improved performance its not noticeable, but this really is.

Now im 100% on keeping my preorder and are more excited than ever for 17th May to arrive ( early access ftw).

Hes talking about CB version because it got a patch that increased peformance.

i'm playing on the OB and the Performance for me are really bad...
i tried playing today after the patch and it was still bad.
i'm playing on medium and the game FPS keep dropping. 
i can play LOTRO on max when it look 10 times better then the way AOC look like on medium and runs ALOT better...

but tbh i dont care so much about the FPS drop
the thing is,i can't play the game for more then 10min with out a crash....
oh and the 4 min loading times aren't fun as well ...

my spec isn't the best but it more then the
average...

from what i played i really liked the game,and its REAL FUN when it work
and i'm planing to buy it anyway,i just hope they fix it a bit on the retail...
