Hi!

I have q6600, 2gb ram, radeon 3850, vista 32bit.

I installed Aoc, patched it and then run it. Screen is black and nothing else happens.

I installed newest ati drivers but the story is the same.

May I suggest the following solution to your problem....

Seriously wish you luck on that.  Some can run it... some cannot.

Start up patcher, go to settings before you go to play. unclick start in full screen to start in a windowed mode.....chose the lowest resolution possible and try it..work your way up from this one if it works.....

Also, if you find you have long loading screens when you run game, delete shader. files from the funcom folder. This may reduce some shiney graphics for you but will stop you from spending more time looking at loading screens than playing, there is a bug with the OB which makes loading times crazy. Everytime you run patcher though these will reinstall so  start it up on the simple aplication file instead

Further to this....refer to sticky at top telling any other tweaks needed.

Oh and further to this...similar thing happened to me and i found that the initial download did not get everything and the patcher does not see them, from the settings list again...you can run a programe to check you have all files..it will retrieve anything you are missing, i did this and it sorted my problem....i could only get as far as hearing 'nvidia' but now..im in...and its flippin brilliant

Hop on the AoC forums, I had the same problem initially and not sure what was causing it. My fix was to select Windowed mode on startup and it seemed to get rid of the blackscreen. Some people were able to go back to fullscreen after the initial startup ran through once.

I haven't jumped on the AoC forums in a couple days, someone might've isolated the problem by now I know quite a few people were having the problem.
