Age of Conan

 Hello I haven't played in the beta so here just my thoughts on the matter there are just so many posts flying around about this game here is what I have read on here about this game.

1) Some Computers Can't run it

2) Too much lag,memeory leakage, and low FPS

3) people not liking the extra keys you have to use on the keyboard for the combat system which even the devs said would take some time to get use too at 1st

ok those are the 3 main ones any how sure there are others but i'm just going to address these 3 because there is one easy solution to fix all of this and save your self a ton of money,time and aggrevation.

Instead of running out and getting that killer computer that you really no you can't afford and really could use the money for other things. Or running around town getting This graphics for for xxx amount of dollars and more memory for xxx amount of dollars.

Just Change your pc preorder to the Xbox360 version which right now has a release date of some time in september. For one its cheaper to spend $500.00 for an Xbox 360 that can can run it then a $1500.00 ++++ for a killer rig. And #2 it gives FC time to put how many patches to fix what ever bugs that they need to fix on there end. And if you say well what about my Rhino or Mammoth mount dont worrry they will offer same preorder deal for that as well.And As far as the extra keys pushing for Combat system it just sounds like the combat system was really designed with the controller in mind so it will probalbly easier with the controller then the keyboard more layed back any how.

I've had limited problems running AoC on my less than stellar rig, some bugs have popped up specifically the shader problem where it sucks your memory dry but if that's not happening then I've really had no problems. I enjoy the game and may get it when it comes out.

AoC isn't optimized fully by any means but make no mistake this isn't a Vanguard like performance release. I beta tested Vanguard with the same computer, there is NO comparison in performance whatsoever. I find the more I play the game the more I get used to the controls and I enjoy have much more interactive some classes are compared to similar classes in other games.

Funcom went for Graphics quality over gameplay and immersion. Again to all developers reading this. GRAPHICS ARE NO GOOD IF THE GAME SUCKS BALLS.

Gameplay first. Then graphics.

Stop listening to fanbois that play the newest nextgen console.

Funcom just got Vanguarded here. Completely agree with the above.

conan is as much fun to play as it is to look at and you blame console fanbois ? well sorry i am PC gamer and i demand the best looking and fun to play games

To the OP. If you feel like waiting for the console version, that is fine and dandy, but please do not assume it will come out in September. I don't know where you get the date from, but FC themselves have not made it clear when that will be and were very vague, but words like "within a year of PC release" were used at points. Besides, they are even now still hiring people for the development of the X-Box version. You might look at a bit of a longer wait.

Second, people need to stop thinking they upgrade their computer just for Age of Conana. While that may be the initial reason, there are tons of other games that will come out that will run on an upgraded rig, either better or at all. If you feel you do not want to invest into your computer, then that is your decision, but it's not like the only thing you get out of upgrading your PC is being able to play -this- particular game.

And third, if you are worried about the combat system, or in fact, worried about anything at all with the game, wait, do not pre-order, go grab yourself one of the crazy people getting a CE Pre-Order and get yourself a buddy-key (sorry, mine are all reserved already. Yes, I am a crazy person. XD). Alternatively, you can wait for a free-trial to crop up at some point to test the combat for yourself.

The system is new in some ways and not everyone will like it. So you should check for yourself if you do instead of holding to other people's opinions.

Damn skippy!  Graphics will never NEVER make a game good is there isn't solid gameplay mechanics in place and tons of depth to keep players busy!

Aye, making a game that uses todays standard hardware and not 3 year old one was a mistake. I love my PC from year 2003 and will never upgrade (sarcastic).

AOC is made for mature people (violance and boobs). Player base is aimed for 18+, which
usally have the $ to pay/upgrade for a descent
computer.

Funcom did the right thing with AOC. They made
a kick-ass superb awesome jawdropping game.
Graphics, animations and sound are fantastic.
We didn't need another WOW clone, we needed
something new, fresh and good looking.
