My only real fear for this game is that one will out number the other making the battlefields no fun. I know they will say they will spawn more NPC for the side with less players....but this is not the same. DAOC had that 3rd realm which was great, if one was overpowering, the other two would team up. Does any know of any plans other than NPC spawns for balancing the battlefields? |

Why So Serious? |
Right now they've only minimally discussed a few things they're trying out including Realm(faction) & Race caps Per server that are on some sort of sliding scale according to the deficiet & the total population allowed on a server, temporary Bonus's to the heavily under populated Realm / Race etc, etc. The caps are most likely related to log in you can create a character for that side but if the server is full for that side when you log in you get queue'd probably. I've not heard anything about NPC spawns other than Dogs of War and that was spoken about ages ago for only the Instanced PvP Scenarios. |

Let's say other side has 4000 order players logged in and Chaos has 1000 players logged in. Then just buff 1000 chaos players to equal 4000 order players. Meaning Chaos players get quite buff.
However that causes also own silly things, like then you would need also buff based to that your side NPC guys. Now part where it becomes silly is that every PvE quest related guy in area where enemy can attack you would also need to be buffed not to make quest way too easy to player and dominant side would be way too weak to beat even NPC alone without teaming up. |

You can either agree with me or be wrong! |

If you think anyone's gonna stick with a game where they end up being totally outpowered by a single guy just because that other guy happened to be on a lower populated side you need to learn a bit more about human nature :) |

Sometimes you will always be outnumbered. That is just the way it has been thoughout history. There are those who have tried to take advantage of it. There are many accounts in history where the outnumbered end up overcoming the odds. Mythic will balance things out im sure, but if they dont try to find advantages in the game to help yourself out should you ever be outnumbered. |

I'm almost confident it is one of their main concern (as they can loose subs with that) even thought we haven't heard much about it, Elvenangel actually pretty much sumed it up. Anyway it's one of the things I'm most curious about, how will they end up resolving this issue (even if they have the DAoC experience). Time will tell. |
