Trolling since 2004.
Game hopping since 2003.

Can anyone else empathise with my situation!? I figure here is the place to seek validation :)

I'm stuck in a cycle where I play mmos for months then find I'm too stressed when I get burnt out with real life. All this yabbering about games affecting real life doesnt really take into account the fact that its real life that stresses you out and I cant play games when I'm stressed. I end up resubbing crap games and bouncing around for a week or two until I give up then return to something safe like WoW after RL stresses go away. Thing is I'd kinda like to play games when I'm stressed - its the time to do it!

How do you wind down when the grind is too much but you jus wanna hit some keys for a bit?

Ummm, where to begin . . . .

What is it you seek validation for? Playing games or playing garbage games? Playing games while stressed or getting stressed with real life and seeking an escape? Letting the game affect your real life or vice versa? "Wind down" as in playing games or winding down without games, ignoring the urge to play them?

I'm more than a little lost here

I intend to live forever -- So far so good!

I tend to just leave the house and go for away, as far and away from people as I can.  I either go down to the lake shore and read or go for a walk in a secluded part of the park.  I used to wind down with games but some of them have become so political due to guilds and other people's wants/desires that it just wears on my patience.
