I just got my key and initiated the download using firefox on vista. I had to reset the page about 20 times before I got it. I am now waiting in line for the download. I just wish there was somewhere else to download the client from.
edit- just saw the above post after I finally posted, downloading the torrent now. |

Well, really, this whole FC / Fileplanet thing was a way for both companies to get marketting promotion from one another. You don't really have to pay to get into the beta, it's just one of those things that's supposed to be like... "Hey! Didn't like fileplanet before? We added sumtin' new!!!11!! Rejoin us or join us for the first time to see all of our other great features!" It was really just something used for Fileplanet so they could get their name across... if you registered JUST for the beta than that's kind of stupid... it isn't as if that is all they offer, and if you didn't see this coming then you are unfamiliar with all the complaining that has been going on for the past week on these forums. While, like I said it works both ways, a lot of people on Fileplanet who weren't going to try AoC before though "Meh? Why not." and are enjoying it. Both companies benefit. Whether or not this works... I'm going to be expecting a LOT of complaining. The download will take days for people to install lol... but at least now FC can really stress test their servers as well. You thought the whining here was bad before...? You haven't seen ANYTHING yet | |
