Honesty is the best policy, but insanity is a better defense. |
I just got new monitor today and went from 1200x1024 to 1920x1200 and the number of graphical glitches actually decreased. I am still getting some, but less of them. Weeeeeird man. |

ATI/NVIDIA drivers have almost nothing to do with the stability at a resolution. Your hardware itself dictates it |

Don't know (not even close to know) but there is no different "code" in the drivers get gets used or not used when the resolution changes? I can think that a possible bug ATI or Nvidia drivers for their card could turn out to make a resolution that should work into a nonfunctional one, only speculations though. |

i am thinking i am arguing with someone who doesn't really realize how drivers work...so i'll take it easy on ya. Your set of drivers dictates all the resolutions, resolutions are just mainly the number of pixels that are processed/generated within a specific amount of area. Larger the resolution, the better the picture looks, but it also taxes your system hardware a bit more. |
