Age of Conan

So, female gamers in the Open Beta, what do you think?  Reading the Conan books never made me want to rush out and be one of the women in them.  (Why oh why isn't anyone ever going to make a Sword of Truth MMORPG... now THAT had some female characters worth playing!)  So, before I preorder, I'd love to hear what some actual female gamers--or male gamers who have an opinion on the subject--think about being a woman in a game that spent a lot of time getting us excited about the fact that there would, indeed, be nipples in game?

I think the whole fact that there are nipples in game is good enough to not play AoC. I hoped MMORPG will stay clean from such a silly marketting attempts to get interests from kids that never had a real sex yet.

Let's see:
1) Tits- chek
2) Gore- chek
3) Getting drunk- chek
4) Mature rating- chek

The game has all the baits to atract the under 15 crowd of horny leet teen geeks that are getting bullied at school and now want to vent.
Somehow i have the feeling comunity will be the worst part of the game :(

Right, cutting off heads is a lot cleaner and by far less a silly marketing attempt than including body details.

I actually meant that as well. The whole Mature Rating is one big joke and it's an apparent attempt to lure kids into game.

I think some girls enjoy chopping some heads off sometimes as much as a real life barbarian with a large muscular structure and a fat axe.

And yeah now you got into the maturity thing.. How immature to post something about maturity. Games are for everyone to enjoy, age-limits is just a pointer, not an illegal action that get you thrown into jail.

um idk what ur talking if u noobs ever read AGE OF CONAN COMICS maybe u noobs would know why they put dam nude and getting drunk and crap like that in the game its becuase they want to make is as close as they can to the comics lol......and the commuity isnt going to be back i dont think theres going to be alot of un mature kids in the game i hope but still we'll always have to deal with it in everygames no matter wat type of game it is

I think you are being close minded. its not about the nipples and bar fights. its about the book..For once a MMORPG is sticking with the story and not trying to change anything about this game.If the Book had no nipples bar fights,or slaves.Then the game would not have it.Look at SWG big game but does not stick to the story.

Now you getting alot of kids playing and making fun of the body parts. ect...but i think anyone can find anything in any MMORPG to make fun of and really make it rude.But I give funcom 5 stars for staying with the story. if you read the books in 1930's then you see why.they did what they did.

you think they put blood in MMorpgs to get more players? i would say yes and no. but AOC has a reason.
