Then, honestly, you would be doing them a service by using the release client, without debug mode, if your feedback hinges upon performance. I dont want to pick a fight here. I am allowed to tell (now) that I am in beta, and may talk of my experience up to level 13.

The game client we play with in closed beta is FAR FAR FAR better than what I have seen at a friends place on a superior rig from this stress test.

In addition, pretty much all the bugs present (placeholders, wrong level reqs etc.) are gone, and a lot has been added, like better icons, animations and all.

Age of Conan is in pretty good shape. I dont really know why they insisted on using a rather old , bad-looking client for this test, but there will be reasons. The real beta client right now, up to 13 at least (not allowed to talk about other stuff due to NDA), is in excellent shape, and a ton of fun.

If this is true, then shame on Funcom for not putting their best foot forward.  If it was my game and money, there is no way in hell I'd release anything to 50,000 open beta testers but the very best I had to show them.  50,000 players can talk and talk, A LOT!

There is probably more in General / Closed and Tech Beta than on the Fileplanet Beta Client too.

True, but too bad we'll never really be able to hear from them except for levels 1-13.  The general/closed/technical beta NDA isn't going to be lifted for rest of the game.

As from today everyone in closed beta and tech beta plus the new open beta players will get the same client which is practically the release client.

The server will go down at 4PM GMT and come back up with everyone playing the same client. Their will be 4 servers back up at 6pm GMT.

I am saying nothing but by 7pm tonight their will be no more excuses from people like avery or funcom.

As it is now, as I've stated before, there is more positive than negative experiences from what I gathered on these and on the Official AoC forums. *shrug* Only time will tell if it remains that way.

I have to step in again. You are assuming 50k people do not like what they are seeing. So far though, I have seen more positive than negative overall. Sure there are people who don't like the game. There are also people who wouldn't even like the game if it was the second coming due to their prior hate. But you have to remember that not just the doomsayers will tell their friends.

What?  No one said 50k people do not like what they are seeing.  Matter of fact, on the poll I'm running it is 2-1 of those that like it and those that don't.  I'm not hiding anything on that.  The stunner is undecided is leading the poll.
