Package them all up in a one membership package and Blizzard would rule the world forever.

Hmm - I've heard a very faint rumor that Blizz are looking a Starcraft MMO ( it might be "like" EvE)

Don't know about Diablo - Wouldn't it just be a dungeon crawl or hack fest?

Now the one to go for, but Microsoft messed it up by releasing as a console FPS as they for some bizaire reason still own the rights, would be a cyberpunk type based on Shadowrun !!!!!!!!

No Diablo could just be World of Warcraft in a Diablo skin / theme / setting.. with more focus on in-depth dungeons and stuff like that...  maybe even an entire "underworld".

I agree. Shadowrun would be a near perfect fit for an mmo.

Blizzard is working on StarCraft II now and it will remain the best strategy game ever.So at least for now, there won't be a SC mmo neither in the close future.

Blizzard are working on a top secret new mmo atm, but nobody knows anything about it except blizzard.

WoW has 10 million subscribers so that rules out WoW2.

Starcraft 2 is about to be released so I doubt it is Starcraft MMO they are working on.

That leaves us with a Diablo MMO.

Not using the fan base from a successful game (like warcraft) to launch an MMO would be like fighting with one hand tied behind your back.  I would wager that not having a successful license to build upon is the kiss of death for an MMO today.  It's a must have if you want anything other than a niche game.  I would guarantee there will be an SC MMO sometime in the future.  Best bet would be 2-3 years after the release of SC2 with Blizzard using the success of SC2 to help launch the MMO much the same way they used WC3.   Although it will also depend heavily on the market at the time.  Since Vanguard and TR didn't pan out, I propose they are waiting to see what happens with AoC and Warhammer.  If those two games don't meet expectations and none of the black sheep take off then Blizzard has nothing to worry about and they can take their time.  If any of these games prove to be a challenger to WoW then I'm sure their timetable will be pushed up a bit and they can begin to consider their next move.   A company like Blizzard wants to stay on top and they are going to leverage their strongest title to do so....it's just a matter of timing.  Absolutely no reason to drop your next big title when WoW is still going strong.  I have absolutely no doubt that the development of SC2 is anything other than the beginning of a plan ultimately ending in an SC MMO.

There's going to be a Warhammer 40.000 MMO. If you enjoyed Starcraft because of the scifi setting and plot, then you'll like 40k too (SC started out in the 40k universe but couldn't afford a license. Hence the great likeness bewteen protoss/eldar, zerg/tyranids, terran/imperium). It's the same thing, but with more guns and more aliens.

SC just has the 3 base races for a sci-fi... the human, the bug like aliens and the advaned alien race.
