I've played the game, at least those parts available in the PvP weekend, as well as 14,999 other people. And the rest of the game having an NDA means there's actually real people ( not "super AI bots" ) testing it, requiring an NDA. Oh, and every major gamesite has seen the game in action and played it. See, that's where the game existing comes into play.

 

You didn't play the game. You played a very limited part of the game that may or may nor reflect on the quality and performance of the finished product. That means you cannot possibly say if this game is going to live up to the hype. And there is nothing that can compete with hypes and NDA protecting it. My argument stand, your's fail.

This is correct, I played the pvp weekend - I'll just say the game is very 'limited'.

If he is correct, then you are wrong. Since he stated the PvP weekend was not the game, and you agree, then the game is not very limited, as you have not seen it to know.

Your argument fails hard simply for the fact that, if you take the time to sound out the syllables in my post, I referred to the game EXISTING.

 

No game can compete with Darkfall because Darkfall does not exist.  Hard to compete with words on a  piece of paper or typed into a "dev journal".

AoC has been proven time and again to exist, by people with more credibility than anyone so far on Darkfalls' side. AoC has shown their game, Aventurine has not. I may not have played the real part of AoC, but reviewers from legitimate sites have. Noone has been verified as having played Darkfall in any sort of RECENT ( i.e. 1 year or less ) build, and the ones claiming to have played the older builds are suspect as hell.

The question was not about existence, it's about the ability to compete, to live up the the expectations of it's customers. Hyping and NDA does wonders to preorders. DF isn't on the marked, thus it doesn't compete. You can preorder AoC, thus it compete. You keep on failing...

Actually, I doubt it. Although I do like what I've seen from AoC, and I do like Funcom as a company, I've really had my fill of fantasy games. Probably why i still play AO.

Actually, I doubt it. Although I do like what I've seen from AoC, and I do like Funcom as a company, I've really had my fill of fantasy games. Probably why i still play AO.

LOL - some interesting logic there. So if PvP weekend is not a valid base to make conclusions on the total game, then the game is not very limited ?

 

How does that NOT make sense?  Obviously it isn't very limited if all you were shown was a glimpse of the game during PvP weekend.

Probably why you're still hating darkfall.

If stating the obvious is "hating" on Darkfall, so be it. However, it has nothing to do with it being fantasy. It has to do with it being nothing.
