"Next time i log in SWG ill probably see elves and druids"

while in my advanced matrix algebra class i zoned off and it came to me

a MMORPG with the theme of "the legend of Zelda"

would you think it possible to actually have the components to make it into an MMORPG?

my point of view

- there are many races we could choose from

-many classes that can be derived, ranger, swordsman, mage, brawler, healer, merchant, crafters, and if i actually think i can pull out a few more.

-many modes of transportation: runes, music, TP devices, spells

-different zones and areas.

onthe down side, hyrule is quite small (looking at the NES SNES and N64 Zelda games) compared to worlds like EQ,EQ2 SWG,Wow, hell even UO seems to be a bigger world. i guess there can be other realms like the transition between ocarina of time and majora's mask. and you can even have them at different times in history. since link is known to travel through time on many ocasions (or at least suspended in time) at worst with the lore there can be conceptualized more zones. and thus making the Zelda universe sizeworthy of MMOG.

what are your thoughs?

why do humans build, because it isn''t there

if they refuse to further whore out pokemon and make a MMO out of it... what are the chances of using zelda.

There's no such thing as a good government manager. Anyone who's halfway decent gets hired by the private sector.

Well pokemon and zelda are preaty much 2 different concepts

pokemon would be a creature handler fest

zelda has more potential as almost all MMOG companies like to be safe and zelda can easely be modeled to fit a EQ/WoW gameplay.

also pokemon has only a young player base, i have yet to see a 14+ year old still be interested in pokemon but zelda's player base is much wider. the reason i say that zelda would have a larger fanbase is that it came out quite a while back in the NES , hence many older players grew up with zelda games.

you are comparing apples and bananas. pokemon and zelda are worlds apart.

Nintendo has pretty much proven that it's willing to do just about anything to make a few bucks off pokemon, quite the opposite of what they've done with Zelda(except for that they keep making them).

I'm not looking at the game types I'm looking at what Nintendo seems willing to do with the brands.  IE: whore it out to every revenue source they can think of when compared to this is a great game that we're going to keep reinovating over and over.
