Year 2008.  My recomendatios for MMO games.

• Lotro  ( RPG, wow-like )
• Saga  ( RTS, F2P  )
• Planetside  ( FPS )
• Boundless Planet  ( RTS )
• Mythos   ( RPG diablo-ish )
• Dark and Light   (  RPG Morrowind-ish )
• Dungeons and Dragons Online ( C-RPG DnD-ish )

These games deserve to be played, because are original and add something to the genre. 

Dark and Light UPDATE  ( 21-april-08 )  :

 - There are very strong opinions against Dark and Light, and the game seems dyiing. I will not delete that game from my list, I still think is special,  but I will add that note, so you know some people think this game sould be avoided, if only, because some people got extra charged, and other (huge?) problems. More information on the DnL forums.

Saga actually looks quite interesting, I'll give it a try :) Thanks

Only game there I would even think about playing is Diabloish mythos.   saga is not F2P you have to buy cards and stuff for it like a trading card game. 

the other games fail on an epic proportion.

lol @ Dark and light.  It was the worste mmorpg I've ever tried.

I can't believe someone would actually recommend the scamming POS that is DnL. Oh, well. Lawsuits almost finished, and it'll be shut down soon enough anyway. I would recommend anyone who even thinks about trying DnL actually look through its forum section here, first.

In my book  a lawsuit about the property of a terrain render engine not make a game bad.. or good.

Is MY recomendation.  Bets are, if you already played the other 8 games, you will like this one. If you don't like my recomendations, good, because are subjective.   I know most people vote with his money and vote stuff like WoW and Lineage.  I like to disagree.

You think the lawsuit is the only bad thing? Do you know how many people were ripped off monetarily by these asses? Continuously, even years after they left the game? You wanna play in a dead game made by some of the most unscrupulous "developers" around, go for it. But don't go recommending it to people unless you plan to tell them the whole truth about it first. The only saving grace is they can't charge for the "game" anymore.

As far as comparing it to the other games there, those games are at least complete. DnL is a coding mess, with almost no content, a "big world" with nothing in it, 1/10th of what it was supposed to have even at launch 3-4 years ago. And also doesn't even boot up on most peoples' computers because of the sloppy coding. So no, if someone has played and liked the other games on your list, they are almost guaranteed to NOT like DnL.
