Funcom has announced that the population of Hyboria will grow by 50,000 starting May first as that is the date that the open beta for Age of Conan will begin.

And presumably it will help to silence the 'End-Of-Hyboria-Is-Nigh' conspiracy theorists who believe that Funcom trying to pull another AO release is the reason there hasn't been an Open Beta so far. Think the real `stress test' will be trying to stay sane while 50,000 nubs spam the chat channels and try to gank fellow lowbies... fun times! I'm lookin' forward to it. |

They would hand them out over a week or two time, that way they don't get overflooded with downloads (hmm, I can't remember which company did that last time). But still, it is clearly for marketing. They should make it free to download with 50k keys to give out over 1-2weeks time. |

All users can register now for the Age of Conan beta event notification list. You do not need to be subscribed to register and get instant email notification when beta signups begin.
AWESOME!!! I DONT HAVE TO BE SUBSCRIBED TO GET EMAIL NOTIFICATION!!! When I read the whole bolded "You do not need to be subscribed" I got my hopes up, told some of my friends, made a big ass out of my self, and then I saw I NEED A SUBSCRIPTION!!! |
