Originally posted by Seggallion In all honesty you can't put Athelans posts into the same as the previous two incidents you mentioned.
I agree the first two if true, are uncalled for. There is no reason to go to DF's forums and purposely cause trouble.
However, Athelans case, someone had posted a link to a fan made DF video in the AoC forums. Who's to say that wasn't a DF fanboi trying to stir something up? I'm not saying it was, but you can't deny it's possible. I still think they have every right to express their own opinions on their own forums. Going to someone elses and trying cause drama is another story. |

Originally posted by waverat81 Sure, and yes it was a fan video that was pretty... over the top if you ask me that Althelan made comments about (I'm assuming Althelan is the one who made the most recent comments that Tasos supposedly reacted to in his article, because I honestly don't know their names).
The guy who wrote that warhammer article though just seems to be lacking a lot of basic facts, a sense of professionalism, and just seems to be a ... glancing over at the smilies here, nut job is a good match. |

If a fanboi actually read the whole article, he'd go blind.
I loved the smack down, but personally I think the author of the article was shouting into the wind. |

Who's to say that Darkfall isn't stirring up trouble on this website, or any website to put it at that. __________________________________________________ |

Who to say people should just stop pointing finger because at this point no one can prove a damn thing but the devs but. hey whatever.
Its free advertising : ) |

Originally posted by Seggallion It's not the same person, even if they share the same user-handle. From what I know, weezer from WarCry is an Australian and quite obviously has very little interest in Darkfall, so I doubt he would even bother to ever even visit their forums. I seriously doubt it's the same guy; it just sounds like you Darkfall fans WANT it to be the same person, just so you can feel justified. |

I've never seen so many people get so mad over the fact that two dudes have an opinion. Also, people keep talking like after this random editorial that NOW is the time for DF to shit or get off the pot. Why now all of the sudden? Because some guy wrote something on a website and called them out? "OH SHIT! THIS GUY'S RIGHT! Some guy played the editorial card, so we've REALLY got to get on this." I mean, people were saying this game was never going to come out long before this article was written.
I'm going to try AoC when it comes out, and if DF ever comes out, I will most definitely try it. For me, the ideas behind DFO are what I'm looking for in a *perfect* game. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a big enough nerd that as I was reading Tasos' Journal I got just a little hard at all the things he said the game was suppose to be.
So what's the harm in waiting for a game that may never come out, but still wanting to try other games that might still be fun, even if they're not my definition of a "perfect game?"

Originally posted by RandemThis is no harm in waiting for a game that may never come out, however as others have mentioned before this actually hurts the genre more than it helps.
Regardless of how you wanna look at things, the world basically revolves around money. There have been a few other "developers" that have promised the world and didn't deliver, some even went as far as taking the money and running. This hurts those indie companies who are actually trying to move the genre forward by putting fear into the investors who may be interested in helping fund their ideas. If DF can deliver on their promises than this will be a very good step in the right direction, if they can't.....it'll be that much harder for the genre to move forward. |

To be honest I am getting a little sick of waiting for Darkfall Online as I've been waiting like 6+ years now but I find it much more infuriating when an MMORPG sets an actual release date and then pushes it back a million times. I'm also very disappointed with how they keep dumbing down the game from the original concept. Oh well by the time either of these games come out I'm going to have gone from being a high school student (those many years ago) to being a father with children in high school (in the few years to come). Obviously these MMORPGs were not made for my generation. |

Then being able to dodge enemy attacks is still in? That would be nice, I just assumed it wasn't because the more recent videos just show the two combatants swinging at each other with minimal movement besides animation. |

Combat is still twitch based, therefore i'd imagine being able to block and dodge attacks is ofcourse still in. Account has been stolen, why would someone want to steal my account? |

"Hating" as you so eloquently put it , is a sign of jealousy. But you can be guranteed that NOBODY is jealous of Darkfall... considering there's nothing to be jealous of.... Anyone who takes shots at Darkfall is simply poking fun for the entertainment value.. Like I do. |
