"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.”

There's just no reason to dismiss a game before you've played it.

You can read all the signs and make all the predictions you want. I don't see the benefits of doing so. Just be patient.

Of course there is problems, otherwise they would remove the NDA. And no open beta is an insult to all that bought the game pre-order.

I'm not sure if it's worth preaching on the choir. I doubt that the people are interested in hearing praises or condemns at this point. I'm sure those that wanted to pre-order did so and nothing we say will change their minds. Some patience is in order. We can have this conversation again after the open beta starts.

My question is, where is everyone getting this idea that Age of Conan isn't offering an open beta?

If people would only read instead of listen to "hearsay".

I'm curious, how did you spend money on the game?

Seriously, I mean...I've pre-ordered the game...and I have not spent money on it yet.

I'm trying to keep an open mind on AoC and ignoring all the bad things from closed beta testers.

On a positive note, I've seen a topic someplace that City of Heroes is a zoned game, and it's not bad. So I downloaded the trial and their right it is zoned, and not bad at all !

But on the flip side, I still have concerns about invisible walls, NDA still up ( remember you can't return MMO's ), and this PvP weekend, as it can be a prop to side track what the real world looks like.

Seeing how zoned games can still be good, I still have some faith in AoC, but I'll still use caution, and hold off untill players get past the 1-20 level solo play.

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his brother.

That would be the misinformed, and those that read 5 months beta leaks on diff websites.

But I totally agree with your last statement.

There's a very 'informative' post just made on the FOH boards.

I believe I found the post you're referring to.

It's disturbing, but it doesn't change anything for me. I made a vow after pre-ordering a certain game ( I won't name names, in fear of hurting somebody's feelings, BRAD). My vow is this: never again will I buy a game without first playing an open beta OR reading a few good reviews.

The devs have another month to finish the game. I wish them the best of luck, because AoC sounds mighty interesting.

From a guy that played in the Tech Beta for 3 hours and thinks he knows the game. *cough cough* Very informative indeed.

Of course, I know nothing. I only hear what others are telling me. XD

If you try to fail, but succeed, which have you done?

what are the FOH boards?
