Trying to hold my anger here: since I live in Europe I can't enter the competition? I mean WTF! I don't really care about the CE-edition since I ordered it already, but those beta keys seem very nice to me since I've been waiting for like ever. But Europe is gonna be one of their important customers coming the next years and they don't even have the decency to put up an European equivalent?

Things like this usually are restricted to regions due to legal issues or publishers coverage area.

Im sure it is the way you say. But all that I know is: Im a posible customer and Im out of a promotion. Companies should start to think more globaly.

If ignorance were bliss, the world would be a *much* happier place.

Thanks for letting us know!

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his brother.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dutch, French, German and English magazines and websites put up something similar in the short term future. It's not the companies fault, its the legislation of the Country your in's.

Stand up for what you believe; Even if you stand alone.

Aye thanks for letting us know.  I decided to have some fun with my 'entry' hehe:

Short Answer: Nipples!

Long Answer:

My muscles ached, crying out for mercy or death.  I would welcome either to being a slave.  My Aquilonian blood ran down my back.  The lasher grinned behind me.  I could feel the fearful quivering of the slave next to me, cursing me for my defiance.  The flesh of my back tore open with another crack of his whip, but I would not break.  I would row no longer.

I strained against my binds.  ‘Bless me Mitra… so that I might strangle this slaver and fight for my freedom’, I prayed.

As if by divine intervention, destiny if you will, the ship suddenly rocked hard to the left.  Bodies flew out of place, shaking about and mixing in what seemed to be an attack on the ship of our oppressors.

Water rushed in at me, cooling my wounds by the grace of Mitra.  Free of my bindings, I was revitalized and eager for vengeance!  Gaining my ground, I lunged at the lasher taking him hard to the ground.  Slaves frenzied in chaos as water filled the belly of our vessel drowning all who would not flee.  There was no telling how long until we would all be dead… but I held the lasher under the deepening water with all my remaining might.

As the water filled my lungs, the slaver’s body finally relaxed. A euphoric melody in my mind played as darkness seemed to claim my soul.  Praise Mitra.  I would die a free man...

LMAO. Entertaining roleplaying story, but does it have anything to do with the Topic?

Don't be angry.

I mean in Europe you'd be ending up paying taxes if you happened to win ;)

Google is your friend.

This may sound harsh, but some of you guys need to wake up and get a clue. The ONLY thing Funcom is doing is supplying the beta keys and merchandise. This contest was the idea of a couple of good guys at TEN TON HAMMER. An American based gaming fan site (which does have some foreign viewership). So instead of blaming Funcom, go and start poking those European gaming sites to start up similiar contests! :D I'm pretty sure most European contest have some or much the same restrictions to us Americans and Canadians. :)
