Whoah, I thought you were just joking. Then I went to 'that site' and found the screenshot of the in game notice...

I honestly have no idea how they could put advertising like that in and still maintain an atmosphere that feels like conan. Unlike AO which is futuristic enough that people don't care, it really wouldn't work here. Only thing I can think of is, maybe an image or something in the launcher or when you are loading up for whatever they are trying to advertise.

oh, the ones from the latest EULA? No, I can't tell you where I got the idea from.

What denial im not even realy hyped for this game. I was actualy looking forward to WAR but now that they pushed back the date im gonna try AoC out just for the hell of it.

 Maybe they'll tatto the ads onto topless female npcs, because that'll be the first thing alot of players will look at

Looking at the way they handled advertisement in AO, I very much doubt we'll see anything of the kind in AoC. Subscribers need not worry.

So can anyone confirm for sure that AoC will have in-game ads during actual gameplay or loading screens or what?

There was an interview about this matter posted on these forums regarding online advertisement. I clearly remember that the Funcom representative was adamant about no advertisements in AoC. Things change over time of course, but given the prior history of the company, they never put ads on the subscription paid part of their previous MMO, AO. So I don't see it happening in this either.

Can't find it on the client to cross reference either.

i would severely doubt that even Funcom would allow advertising in a paid sub game..even they aren't that stupid. I am kinda concerned about the info being collected though

Pretty standard deal I'm afraid. I think WoW started it (could be wrong though, could be earlier than that).

 - I doubt, they'll go as far as having huge 'Greeco Pizza' billboards in the wilds.

Ahh, I missed out on EQ but that's what I was 'kind of' thinking of, too.    

yah :D it allowed you to order pizza while in game just incase you were in an intense raid or to lazy or busy to get food :D Really helped those hungry gamers!  Pizza Hut
