Somewhere between 10K and 20K. I'd guess closer to 10K than 20K.

Well....
An MMOChart told us that EQ has in the area of 125K-ish players. I'd say its very safe to assume SWG has substantially less then that...since it has far less active servers. My personal guess has always been 50-75K, with room for variation due to trials and such.
But, honestly, considering that they have made back production costs and cleared profit....its entirely possible they only have 10K and still keep it running. A skeleton crew working it wouldn't cost more than the 100K a month it would bring in at that number...and I'm sure server costs for just basic maintenance wouldn't breach it either. At this point...its certainly possible for them to still make profit on such low subs, especially with station passes. |

Yeah I don't see more than 10k players playing that game, it's just not that popular, stores here in the US no longer stock the game and haven't for 2 years. It's sunk to Planetside numbers and popularity. I honestly think most of the people playing SWG are station pass holders who spend most of their time playing EQ2 and cross over to SWG once every six months. It's just not a very good value if you are only paying for SWG. |

There's no exact knowledge to how many are actively playing nowadays, before the NGE and CU, SOE were proud to announce 500K then 1mil copies of the game and Garva even once said they had a steady 350K+ playing. Ever since then they've kept the population status on the downlow and we've been asking over and over for confirmination, Smedley once even said that this game is NOT as low as we say it is yet he refuses to release numbers. There was a group that ran a network scan test and got 10K back on peak hour on a Friday night a couple years ago. |

Between 10,000 and 20,000. If someone else tells you more they are simply lying to you.

Just wait until SOE ruins *your* game... |
I'd say 10,000 subs is a pretty accurate number. |
