Not having Official forums will actually be good, then I won't  stop by realize how retarded and fucked up the community is, and then not want to play for fear I might catch their stupid. Also with the Activision/Blizzard merger you can pretty much bet the official forums will eithier go by the wayside or become heavily moderated.

Forums hurt more than help any game.

For me, there are two things that make a great MMO:

The Game Itself - If the game is good . . then the game is good. WAR hasn't been released yet, so we simply don't know how good it is going to be. From experience, I can tell you that beta testers are not playing current builds of the game. So, even beta testers are likely largely behind on what they are experiencing. We really won't know for sure how WAR is until it goes gold and hits the shelves.

The Community - I don't think that anyone will argue that WAR has a large and active community! There's a bunch of fansites, blogs and guild sites all over the web.

I've never heard anyone say that a game is great because of its official forum. If a game is great, it won't be any better because it has an official forum. If a game is crappy, you don't hear people say, "Yeah, but it has an official forum!"

Any game worth playing has an official forum? That may be an honest opinion . . . but quite frankly, to me, it's just whining about something you predict might happen in the future. I've seen plenty of games that were not worth playing - and they had official forums.

Since they won't be spending huge amounts of money on a forum, I presume they'll repay their customers by lowering the monthly subscription?

WoW = Waiting on Warhammer!

Why must people think a company "wimps out" if they don't do something they don't like? Talk about whining. When I play games with official forums I don't even bother with them. I look for 3rd party sources for information and help, which can actually be MORE organized than trying to cram everyone in one place. If things really become a problem (doubt it), they could add them in later just to silence all these crybabies.

Forums = Yay!

No forums = Oh well!

lol! good point! everyone here defends the idea of no forums because of whining...

1. you don't have to use forums...nobody will twist your arm.

2.if things are going ok in a game nobody really uses them...but what if it isn't going good? would you keep silent and pay them anyway? just walk away from a game you have invested time and money in?

honestly i think this no forums thing is because when the game hits live 1 million players all finding out the game is just a direct reskin of wow will crash the forum!

Anyway look on the forum issue i was drunk last night when i made my first post about it so anyway

all i want is a tech forum where i see the issue others are having or ask a question if i come across a problem just a tech forum i dont care about a discussion forum altho i do think it helps build a community and you cant get that on a 3rd party site there usualy american based and im a eu player. thats just my 2 cent.

WOW does it better? Please explain, because I've not played the retail version of WAR yet. You have?

This is at least the second time in this thread that you've called WAR a WOW clone and that you're never playing this game. We understood you the first time. I'm still shaken up about it. The game won't be the same without you.
