and while I'm waiting 3 hours for the patcher to finish, figured I'd ask for general advice before I start my trial? I've been a healer for most of MMO career (or a miner if you count my time in Eve), thinking about rolling a tank to muck around with for a couple months to kill time. Thanks :)

I'm not sure exactly whta your question is but I'm assuming you mean "whats the best tank?"
Depends on what you're looking for. Monks/Bruisers deal the most damage but have low defense. Paladins can heal as well as deal damage with a fair defense, but they kill things slower. Guardians take forever to deal damage but can take damage very well. |

I didnt catch a question in there either but am guessing like above, that it was supposed to be a tank question. Well for your general all around plate tank nothing beats a Zerker with the Shadowknight coming in second. If you plan to raid at all a lot later on then a Guardian would be a more welcome tank in the raid than any other, but the other two choices would win out over a Guardian for general groups any day. The best of the non plate wearing tanks would probably be the Swashie/Brigand (Chain), or Monk/Bruiser (Leather). |

Maybe his talking about how to start the game... go to msconfig turn off your startups. restart ur pc. run game as admin hopefully it download patch all the way through and the right one. |
