Nice word play on the patch job! Last night I realized that my machine is not adequet to play EVE with the flashy graphcis engine. My Pentium4 2.8 prescott is having SERIOUS issues... Anyone have a good recomendation for a socket 478 upgrade that costs less then $200? |

A typo in the header. It's a boost patch, not boot. |

The problem isn't your CPU with the new premium graphics but your video card. You ahve to have a card that is capable of running model shadder 3.0. If you dont then you cant run the new graphics. But that's no real hard ship, as you need a very good system to get the most form it and if you PVP a lot most players have turned of the premiun content and gone back to the standard graphics. You can do this on the exc menu. one other point. The new engine shifts the graphic load form the cpu to the video card, so what ever you were using before will be taking more of the load. Before the cpu did all the work. |
