Errr... guys take it easy. It could be fine to add gore, it's actually part of the Lore (and I'm into the Lore so deep you can't even imagine - I know Warhammer since 1989 at least maybe earlier than that). You could always turn it off (if any gore is implemented) for the younger audience. |

Just for some of the ppl's info. All Warhammer 40k series got gore an rated M for Mature. Warhammer Mark of Chaos is also rated M for mature Which WAR is obviously mostly based on it. all these games got blood and gore, language, and violance. I wouldn't be surprised if WAR will be rated M. |

Good animations and blood are completely fine and what they should aim for. It's when you start hacking limbs off that people get upset. While it also helps immersion to add gore effects like such, it also ruins it when you respawn moments after dying with all limbs intact. |

Gore in or out ? I don't much care. I think what folks here are talking about it more along the lines of "extreme gore" (ie. blood and body parts flying) I look at it more from a performance issue......having a massive RvR battle going on with blood flying all over will bring most to a crawl....it's already hard enough with spell effects on! (yes, having an option to turn them off like in DAoC would be nice). If they put gore in, I can already hear it now....the same folks on here shouting for gore in the game will be the FIRST to be bitching about "that gore brings my machine to it's knees *wah wah wha*"" BUT even then....haven't they said that there will be "gore" in the game to some extent....as mentioned with trophies and all...but also in "some" damage effects...I know I saw mention of some Chaos mobs will "bleed" rats instead of blood. |

Why So Serious? |
... This thread is pointless every single one of us would still play the game if it was Teen or Mature. Honestly does the rating matter? We're old enough to buy our games without anyone telling us no so what does it matter? Ooh its Not Mature so it doesn't have cussing in it..psh Wrong! You can cuss and have bloody corpses in Teen rated games. Excessively gorey, sexually explicit language and naked boobs get you Mature Ratings. As long as there's no sexual content in the game we're unlikely to see a Mature rating unless suddenly heads fall off adn blood sprays everywhere. Which I personally don't think the game needs if we want to have massive battles. That many heads flying around would just equal = lag. Not to mention being stupid since we'd just see that person again several mins later head intact. The argument that Mature rated games keep out kids is again wrong. Go on team speak for various Mature rated games and you're bound to eventually find several foul mouthed little kids or foul mouthed completely immature adults. Maturity of players has nothing to do with ratings. |

Here we go again.... I agree with the OP that there should be some level of gore in this game...after al it is Warhammer. That being said, I also agree that I would rather have performance than a whinning HD because of all the additional graphics content. I do believe that there is a balance somewhere. Many many times I have seen games that have gone overboard on trying to make the environment to realistic and the character models or combat frame rates suffer. Tone down the ambient lighting, the shadows etc...these are great in the begining but they are quickly pushed aside after the 1st few hours of game play. However...I assume the same argument could be used for gore. In the begining it would be really cool, but the novelty would probably wear off. |

Hi all, when i want gore in the game, i dont mean flying limbs and rip out hearts of your enemy finish moves. I simply want some blood when u strike your foe, and not some flashy tekken combat "KAPOW" sparks. I dont think this will mess up your machine more than "KAPOW". |

Not going to happen. Warhammer what was once projected as a dark ,gloomy and gritty world has now been turned into cartoony with rainbows and sunshine like some other games. |

AoC has gore and it will go like this for many players. First 10 kills. OMG that is awesome, I chopped its head off. So why should Mythic waist dev/designer time on such nonsense? Jonny |
