Play what makes you happy in the pants and shut the fuck up about everything else.

Hello folks. I'm new to the GW community. Just wanted to know if there is anyway to turn off the giant health bars o'er my targets head. I hate it. It's killing the game for me. I know it seems like a little thing, but I think it destroys the immerson factor.

Thanks for any help!

If you can, it would be in the interface menu... But honestly, that is one useful feature. Personal preference I guess.

Useful feature as it may be in PvP, it is an eye sore in my opinion when conducting PvE. There is a standard health bar on the top of the screen. This is sufficient enough for me to deduce the health of my opponent. Having a 600' health bar directly over his head is a little overkill in my opinion...lol

After looking through the interface options I found no way to turn the health bars off. On the other hand I wonder about your comment that they are "giant", I think they look pretty small... Could you post a picture to show how gigantic they are?

I appreciate the time in looking into this issue. I will post some pic's if need be, but I don't see how that is going to help my situation. I am running in 1680x1050 with all options on max. The health bars over targets heads are very large while scrolled in and obviously shrink as you scroll out. Whether or not we agree on the size, I just don't want them there. If I can't disable them I will deal, but I just wanted to find out. They really do get on my nerves. Just a matter of prefference I suppose.

Thanks again.

That does look pretty big :D Have to say that i cant remember mine being that big. There is an interface "size" setting somewhere, i think? "Small - Medium - Large", or such, which alters the size of all windows/text etc. Maybe that will make it smaller.

I can't see the picture... But according to Synth.etic it's quite big, I would also urge you to check out Interface options (F11) and see if you have any way of changing the look; the size of the interface may seem the most logical option.
