I'm not saying that nothing else is coded based on the video...just pointing out that environments+3D engine is but a very small part in a MMORPG...(UI,NPC, Quests, Mobs, Crafting, Gameplay, etc...I mean it's like what?...10% done so far ?!)

If it took that many years to get to that point, are you not afraid that this very 3D engine will be totally obsolete when(if?) this game is finished one day?

Well you really can't judge how complete the game is from this video. In lineage 2 for example every once in awhile the NPC server would crash and even though the game was still playable there were no Mobs/NPCs in the game world, just other players. If you were in a remote area when this happened the game world looked very much like this video. This test video is only to show off the environments and the server that implements the NPCs may have been just turned off for this purpose.

I hope that’s true and the developers do release many more “test” videos this year showing a lot more to prove these doubts as being unwarranted.

But its unfortunate that we are forced to make these type of excuses, justifications and assumption’s on behalf of the developers in order to be positive.

I understand why this game get so much hatred towards them.

But is there any proof that they actully have been lieing. Any at all (except for beta and release date but you cant guess the future things change)

There is nosense at all saying half the stuff the trolls post.

The devs have stated When they rebuilt the engine the first time it can handle any new tech that comes out (or be upgraded with it) its a dynamic engine so they could have aoc type graphics if they wanted too. But then a  zoneless world would be impossible with big battles.

The onus is on the developers to provide proof for there claims, not the skeptics or critics to provide proof of there’s because its impossible to prove a negative.

Well i have no other reason to believe there lieing really like there not really advertising there game

look how AOC is doing there saying this and that

but according to the beta user its well over hyped and the game isnt even near ocmplete

AOc isnt the game there pr departmeant is making it out ot be

Darkfall devs would be stupid to try and pr that much its a waste of money that can go toward devolopmeant of the game.

Hell they dont even try to disprove the vapor rumors they ignore it. That tells me thats there being fairly honest.

How hard did thrones of chaos (other titles too) try to prove his game wasnt vapor you got to look at it at a diffrent angle i mean if the devs where out in force trying to defend there game then i would be bit more speculative than i am . But We will see ok please relax. there is no point in us fighting over such stupid things it makes us look like 5 year old kids fighting over a toy ..

My biggest "proof" of believing the DF devs are the fact they still works on the game. They couldent care less what happends in the world. Look at SOE, when WoW come they changed SWG...just to fit the "market".

Aventurine dont care what anyone thinks about them. And thats gives my biggest respect for them. I really hate when other devs try to "sell" a MMO by showing alot of crap and saying their WoW copyd crafting system is so uniqe.

Aventurine dont consist of stupid people. They exactly know what people would say about the lack of NPCs and mobs in that video.....but did they care? Nope.
