I have no problem with people charging to get into a Beta, its only a few bucks and if you cant afford that but you can afford the 15 bucks a month its going to cost later thats just absurd. If nothing else it gives them more money to get more support to then spend more time and money on the game and have more resources devoted to it. Who does it hurt? People who are unwilling to part with about the same price as getting a quick fast food meal.

i think its the principle that you have to pay to get into a beta more so then how much it costs. i believe thats what some people are getting their panties in a knot over. however people who think that aren't really thinking correctly. your paying for a comic $2-4 is what i used to allways pay for mine when i was younger also. EA Mythic just threw in a bonus for people who buy the comic for a chance to get into their beta. thats all it is, really. will people be more likely to buy it just to get into beta? probably. But alot of people just want to read the comic and the beta boosted chance is just a bonus.

Thats thing though its not being promoted by EA Mythic at all if it was an EA Mythic promotion they'd have it on the Warherald.   EA Mythic is running a free contest for Warhammer Lore Fan Writers.  

Games Workshop who owns the Warhammer IP is running the contest with the codes in the comic book.   Considering they create & own Warhammer and they have graciously liscenced EA Mythic to make an MMO its only natural to assume that from the very beginning a percentage of beta keys were alloted to GW to do with whatever they want.  

Thus using simple logic its not hurting anyone who's signed up since the keys were already alloted in the first place just like the ones that are given away in the newsletter every month.   If people weren't so adamant to claim that EA Mythic is making money off said comic book and its a farse / scam etc etc there wouldn't be an argument since most of us would just ignore the complainers.

i probably should have read the entire thread from the beginning so thx for the correction elven. in the end tho its the same thing, EA Mythic isnt making money off of it, therefore  no issue to argue about.
