What race would you chose? What would be the first starting profession you'd go for? Where would you race to to place your new home or city? |
|
Originally posted by hubertgrove I think, this time round, I'd go for human female - tall and thin but with a huge pink Afro. My first starting profession would be marksman - so I could work myself up to the profession I always wanted, a Master Pistols/Master Fencer/Smuggler, insane Dodge bonus. I'd immediately try and set up a trader's tent somewhere very close to Bestine - and my main house in the far North of Tattoine, near the Tusken fort. Of course, I'd also have a holiday villa/safe house on Dantooine. |

Originally posted by fogelklou Aaah, Rifleman/CH was a great PVE profession - outside anyway, maybe not indoors. It must have been great in PVP before SOE nerfed CH so horribly that it became one of the weakest professions of all. While nobody actually seems to like WoW, I always thought that the 'animal skills-learning' system of WoW was rather good and maybe should have been implemented in SWG. |

Originally posted by Suvroc Oooh, I had a Wookie swords/doc. I made a lot of money selling buffs in the starports - for me that was one of the mosyt realistic of all aspects of SWG. Competition for prices, people standing in lines, chit-chatting about this and that while the shuttles blew in and blew out. My buffs were never the very best but they were competitive - and cheap. I also enjoyed making contracts with noobie hunters to get new meat that they could drop off on my vendor outside bestine - it gave them something to do and earned them money. |

I wouldn't go back even if they rollback a server now. You never know when they will decide to ruin it again. No point putting any time into a game when anyday your time gets thrown out AGAIN breaking your items and ruining your characters. Don't forget the many lies over the years even pre CU, not to mention certain other games SOE is a part of. SOE=Bad buisness I will never touch ANY game SOE has their hands into no matter what it is. CCP has my trust that EVE is worth putting time into. SWG is history. Too bad SOE. You could have made so much more out of that game. I really can't believe a team of 70 devs released something as pathetic as NGE. It's full of epic amounts of fail. |

Ah the good old days of swg. I had a Master Ranger/CH, and always took contracts to get the best meat that spawned. Being a master ranger, I could collect tons of meat... and usually helped out the doctors just starting out, that couldn't pay as much. I loved it. Then I made a swordsman/architect on another server. I loved decorating, and selling heavies nonstop. I usually sold mine at 85k for a BR13 heavy (mineral I think it was), and 75k in bulk. I once had a contract for 35 heavy harvestors. That was nuts! If a pre-CU server opened, I would probably make a female human again, with pigtails. Never got to try CM, and I always wanted to. So I would probably start as medic, pick up marksman, or vice versa. House on Naboo ... as close to the waterfall as you could get, I had an excellent business there with a master tailor. Ahh memories. |

With respect i wouldn't go back it,s been three years that ship has sailed. I would rather wait another 3 years for a flightless bird at this point. |

IF SOE announced a new pre-CU server, what would be the first things you'd do in game...? Open a ticket ingame, writing: Haha, I told you so! Suckahs!

Oh, and the other first thing I'd do is race through the Emperor's Retreat missions so I could kneel before him and say: 'I have returned. What is thy bidding, my master?' |

Unless Smed is gone and as many other NGE actors as I feel are necessary (such as Chris Cao), I don't care if they even ask me what PUBLISH I want, I won't play it. SOE has no credibility as long as those people are still employed there.
Play the NGE TC(s)G</a>! It's Free! Its Fun! http://sturly.com/qd2 I encourage everyone who doubts the word of those who reject the NGE to try it for themselves. http://tryswg.com |

I'd roll a Human Artisan and start him in Mos Eisley. I'd survey/sample my ass off and grind until I could make windgens. Then I'd go and "reserve" the lots just east of the Starport, the first ones that you can claim. As soon as someone became a Master Architect, I'd buy a GH and plop it down right there front and center. Then I'd make a mall out of it. As for a template, I think I'd go with what I last had: TKM / MR / Marksman 4004 / Medic 4430 If there is a next time around, I think I'd have a helluva lot more going in than I did before. Most importantly, the best friggin gaming Guild on the planet. :D |

Another thing I'd do is start a toon on the path to becoming a TKM immediately - if they ever did reset to classic SWG then I can almost guarantee SOE'd have forgotten to carry over the K/Dizzy fix so, for a few weeks at least, I'd be king of my zoneless zone. |

Originally posted by Sonno Sounds similar to my plan...except I would want to be right outside of Theed (south). Artisan, then architect, merchant, with the ultimate goal of weaponsmith. My focus would level up through harversters, make my structures WHILE collecting the best resources, then work up through weapons. My alts, (I would also re-open the other two accounts) would start with smuggler/TKA and Ranger/CH while helping out with the resources. If the Jedi grind is included, then I would be forced to do it for the second toon. I am weak...I would surrender to the power of the darkside for a pre-CU server. Oh the shame.... |

Spelling and grammar do matter. I find your lack of real-life skills disturbing. |

Originally posted by hubertgrove Same as last time, I think: human female Scout in Tyrena. I didn't have a clue about stats when I started, I just figured that Scout must fairly balanced, with those even HAM bars. Then add Marksman for combat capability, Entertainer and Medic for early healing self-sufficiency, and Artisan for early buffs and armor. |

Bothan. Scout/Marksman, working my way to master ranger master CH with as much rifle as I can manage. Oh, heck, screw that. TKM/MCH. Or MRifleman MCH. Or bounce back and forth between them. Bottom line, MCH and something else. Once I got to MCH, I'd need to spend a lot of time on Corellia, Dathomir, and Dantooine looking for a Great Plains Stalker (baby), a Bull Rancor (baby), and a Frenzied Graul (baby). Then, off to Endor hunting for the elusive Mantigrue Night Stalker (baby). I'd probably race to the same spot on Naboo where my housing is now, 1700m east of the Keren starport around a little lake beween two rivers, to the south of the Mauler mansion. Then again, I've always wanted a house overlooking one of the Tatooine Oasises. CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested. Once a denizen of Ahazi |
